Re: Anyone here get their vitamin D levels checked?

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated! My cholesterol level is 209, non hdl 162. A bit on the high side I guess. A few weeks ago I started again supplementing with magnesium and the methyl guard complex. I find it hard to take all these vitamins and minerals regularly. I do know it is important bu...

Re: Anyone here get their vitamin D levels checked?

It is a bit shocking that the result is still so low.

Re: Anyone here get their vitamin D levels checked?

I did a bloodtest last year before moving to another city and completely forgot about it. I just checked the D3 level; 13.8 ug/L was the result.
I guess its time to supplement again..
Would 5000 iu be enough, or is a higher dose better in my case?
Thanks

Re: Anyone here get their vitamin D levels checked?

I was under the impression that my D3 levels would be better since the LC is under control for some time already.

Re: Vit D3 and Magnesium

Thanks Tex, hope you are doing well!

I will start with the standard methylguard and see if the histamine issues improve. Is k2 a necessary addition to the d3?

Re: Vit D3 and Magnesium

Hi folks! It’s been some time.. I am doing pretty good the last years accept for some histamine issues. I only take vit d3 for supplements. For some time I’ve been thinking to add Magnesium and a vit B complex again and maybe add K2 to the d3. Thought it’d be best to consult the great minds here fir...

Thanks Tex, I’ll keep that in mind. I switched to 10000 iu for the moment. Apparently cortisone is not a good thing to take now. According to the french minister of health. Do you think 1 entocort a day will be having a negative impact? I’ll try to switch to 1 eod..

Good decision! I would do the same, but I still have to go to work.. In Austria from today the government issued a self quarantine for the entire population for 7 days. Unfortunately this is not the case here in Belgium. It is a sad thing that you are at the mercy of your governments decision making...

What is a good d3 dose in these circumstances? 10000 iu or go higher?

It’s probably because of our ‘high’ intake of vitamin d3. Or at least I hope so. I will be upping my d3 from 5000 to 10000 iu for the coming weeks. This is a critical time.

Oil pulling will help. I’d advise you to use (real) olive oil. Min 20 min every morning before breakfast. Don’t swallow it ;) but spit it out in a trash can and follow it with your normal dental routine.

Yes, I was off the budesonide a month before the colonoscopy. But maybe that was not long enough. Who knows..
