Holy cow. You know I feel oddly lucky to know just a little bit (thanks to this forum) about how gut health has an impact on overall health. Is there so much money to be made in processed, additive- infused foods that research in this area is not moving ahead at lightening speed? How many people ove...

I would be willing to bet that there are many people who have sensitivities to foods but since they have never had clinical symptoms they have never been tested. If this is true, and If they do not suffer from mc or other related diseases, and if they continue to ingest the foods that produce antibo...

Interesting....I never buy products that contain soy oil or lecithin, but I know I eat it occasionally in salad dressings and other foods and I don't react to it. Nonetheless, I wonder if the lack of reaction means it is ok to eat or could it be doing damage, since I know soy is a big no no for me. ...

Nettie I am one that "cured" my psoriasis by going gluten free. It was an unexpected side effect of avoiding gluten. If you enjoy salads and fruit, just give it a few months and I'll bet you will be able to reintroduce them. Maybe not citrus. Sounds like that really doesn't work for you. I...

Dear Small Town Lady Welcome. You are home here. Yes you will get your life back. Most all of us do. Even though most of us have doctors that don't tell us about the link between foods and active mc, all of us learn that with diet change alone or a combination of diet change and drugs we can be norm...

Dear Tex This sounds like a wonderful idea. I don't know how you develop a multi-state and even multi-national non-profit but if you or someone else can identify what is needed i will be happy to do whatever i can to help. I have set up not-for- profit corporations in the past but have no experience...

I had Pozole (I've seen it spelled with a z) today halfway around the golf course. It was 75 degrees And a lovely day. Let me know when it warms up in the Midwest as I need to fly to Missouri soon.

Hmmm-m
I have taken blood pressure meds for 10 years and recently it has been very low. I called the PCP about it but he said to keep taking the meds unless I am light-headed. I wonder if I should conduct a little test by reducing/eliminating the meds and see how it goes.

I take levothyroxin. I stay pretty level on the dose and my PCP felt that Armour was harder to regulate. With all my info from this site I pointed out Tex's thought that there may not be money to be made in the natural dessicated thyroid. He countered that one of the cheapest tried and true drugs on...

Yea! I was so disappointed that it was such an unpopular initiative in California. Even many of my friends didn't get it and voted against it.

Teri I have a friend that HAD severe migraines. Within a very short time after she jettisoned gluten, they were gone. Me....I have had psoriasis since I was a kid. I had no idea that gluten free living would help my hugely scaly patches. I changed my diet because of the mc diagnosis. Imagine my surp...

Christina Cinnamon rice checks or honey nut corn checks aren't bad to pop in your mouth. Even corn chips or corn tortillas that you brush with oil and bake with salt or your choice of seasoning is good. I eat olives and pickles in the movies and I peel apples and slice them(if you can tolerate them)...

I believe that medication is useful while you make the necessary diet changes. Medication may help but without the diet changes there is a good chance you will relapse. I love to eat but it certainly seems worthwhile to limit your diet in order to heal. Sti I have been free of all 4 of the major sen...
