Free Entocort

Hi all - I have 160 capsules of entocort (generic brand) I'm no longer using. Some other lovely soul passed some on to me a couple of years ago, and now that I'm off my meds, I'd love to pass the favor on. Let me know if you're interested, and I'll pop them in the mail for you.

Thanks, Cathy. Must be the high salicylates in mushrooms that are so problematic. I've never had any success with pepto, so I don't bother, and even when I take 4 imodium pills at a time they generally do nothing to help. Since I'm breastfeeding I'm not willing to try it again when I don't feel very...

How to stop a flare?

Hi, all! I was doing wonderfully for several months because of some herbs I was taking, and then I added in mushrooms to my diet, and within a couple of weeks I was back in a major flare after 4 months of Norman. I also ate a little bit of sausage from a local farmer that said "barley finished&...

I'm doing much better. Still very tired, but I imagine that's just par for the course. The herbalist was questionable, to be honest. In the first 5 minutes he said I needed to think about getting a fecal transplant, which I found quite extreme since I'm a healthy weight, I can exercise (when I don't...

Thanks for the feedback, Tex. I started responding to this post days ago, and then clearly I got interrupted. I've just been taking the antibiotics and not the prednisone and am starting to feel a lot better. I'm still very, very worn out and am back in my usual flare mode. But at least I don't feel...

Started prednisone, then doctor said stop - what to do?

I came down with severe food poisoning last Sunday night from badly cooked salmon (my fault!) and have been extremely ill ever since. Ended up in the ER with severe dehydration on Thursday. This morning went to urgent care, and the doctor thought that the FP had kicked off a massive flare. So she ad...

Can I ask one more question about dosages? It seems like it might be wise to try taking Zyrtec and Allegra together to really hit the mast cell issue. How much zyrtec is good to try - 75 mg? 150? Thanks!

Update on All Day Chemist orders

Hi, all, I just went to order from alldaychemist.com, and it looks like they've upped the price and the shipping a bit. Now they're offering 90 pills for $45 (and change) and adding a $25 flat rate shipping fee. You can purchase up to 5 packages of 90 pills, which I did so that it's more cost effect...

Thanks, all, for your thoughts on the fiber issue. It gets tricky for me because I always have a delayed reaction. I start eating more fiber, and then it's not until 5-7 days later that I see I've made a miscalculation again in how much I can handle. And then I have to back off and eat no fiber at a...

Thanks, Tex. I think the idea of just eating a particular kind of veggie a couple of times a week is probably right on. I tend to eat the same thing every day once I feel like I've found the right thing, but eventually that "right thing" becomes the wrong thing. Slowly but surely, I'm goin...

Fiber - how long do we have to keep it out of our diets?

Hi, all, I've been in and out of flares for more than a decade. At this point, I'm realizing that the thing that does me in is too much fiber (I've already taken out every allergen I can think of), but the problem is that I can't figure out what the line of too much fiber is. I'd been eating a lot o...

You can also do it in the pressure cooker for an hour. Easy peasy.

Thank you, Linda and Leah! And thanks for the heads up about the lactose and mannitol, both sensitivities for me. I'll give the Allegra a whirl and see what happens.
