Hello...
It's been a while since I've posted--have been lurking some, but haven't had much time to write. Now that the summer swim season is over (I ran the team--150 swimmers!) and the kids are back in school, I actually have some time to myself...it's quite heavenly... Things are status quo with me. I'm st...

Mary, I can sympathize with you! Last year my daughter fell out of a tree and broke her thumb, then about 3 weeks later my son fell and we thought he broke his wrist. Fortunately, it was only sprained, but you can't take chances on things like that, can you? One fall between the 2 boys we had 5 ER v...

No problem, Alice--I found it! If I may ask, how did you know to get tested for gluten sensitivity if you had no symptoms? I guess I had symptoms for years but never knew it, so it can go either way! I have to say it is very ironic to me that the kid with the fewest symptoms had the highest number. ...

Thanks everyone...I have to agree with you all...with mixed feelings, though. It certainly will be easier at home with the entire house gluten free, the hard part, as you all know, is eating out and when they're away from home. The kids have been back on gluten and haven't been reporting any GI symp...

Tex-or anyone else-Enterolab question
Hi Tex or anyone else with an opinion here...just got the kids' results back from Enterolab. On the advice of Dr. Lewey, I only did the antigliadin for everyone, and the results were not very surprising...normal levels, of course, are <10. We had one at 12, one at 15 and one at 21. What was surprisi...

Yikes, Peggy! Thank goodness the mammo was clean and you don't have to worry about that on top of the strike. I'm so sorry you have to go through that. Any thoughts on how long it will take for the strike to settle? Sometimes you can't predict, but sometimes you can forsee that it's not going to be ...

Sandy--you and I are twins!! I found out in January that I, too, have lc, and in March that I have celiac. I am in the same spot you are--feeling like you-know-what and sick of it, and am sick of eating meat, eggs and veggies. I am eating cooked veggies and some salads, though I never feel well afte...

Tex, I have also read in several places that mc is considered by some to be autoimmune. I have to agree with you that it will take them 40 years to figure out what we who have it already suspect! Dr. Lewey told me that he thinks LC is celiac of the large intestine, which would then put it in the sam...

Liz, Thanks for sharing your cpap experience with me. I am hopeful that it will help, though I do hear that it takes a while to get used to it. My doc gave me some Ambien to take while I'm getting used to it. As he said, if you never get used to wearing it, you just won't use it, so what's the point...
