Hi Julie, Good to hear that your back on track!! it means your body is getting back in balance again with providing the right corisone levels in blood. I've always lived by the rule; quality before quantity. the influence of stress, diet, travel, habits, sleep and probably even more factors seem effect my BM rate. But on average i'm a one's a day person. But what really interests me when i go (these days) is the quality. I keep a sharp eye on consi...

Hi, i've read that elevated liver enzymes are commonly found in celiacs so possibly in gluten intollerants too. Although less common; positive ANA is also found occasionally in celiacs. ref.: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2730948/ ANA positive can also point to a multi system disorder ...

Hi Julie, What a horrible story and what a quack(salver) of a doctor! Even the information listed with Budesonide states that abrupt stopping is to be avoided at any cause. Some news that may give you some hope; i've read a few stories about people who had problems with there glands producing hardly...

Hi Anne,

I have been on a GF diet for 10 weeks now and most what yOu describe happened to me to. I felt a little better bowelwise, got itchy sessions and had sudden itchy rashy spots popping up on my knuckles. Fatigue and pain in hands, feet didn't disappear though.

Thanks for the reply Tex Just wondering; did you have tremors and involuntary muscle movement when wrongfully diagnosed with Parkinson? I read you have peripheral neuropathy too, have you ever had your vitamin E levels tested? Because that is something i will be aiming for on my next appointment. Ap...

CC and cartilage. any relation?

I'm wondering if the immune response to the collagenous layer in the colon that causes CC can also affect other body parts containing collagen. Here's why: I've had an mri which revealed 3 herniated disks in the thoracic area. 1 would be quite rare in that area and will typically be caused by a trau...

Among diagnosed celiacs it is known that bowel issues respond very rapid to a GF diet. (as can diet faults do the reverse in only hours) Pathologically it takes a bit longer according to this citing from Wikipedia: What is the relationship of gluten and anti-gliadin antibodies?. In gluten-sensitive ...

doctors and statistics

I'm not sure if this is even funny as many of us will have known that it is actually a metaphor for diagnosing... Two doctors go on a fishing trip. They see a very good looking and promising river to suit their goal. As they strap on their gear and step into their wading boots one starts to wonder h...

My story so far

Hi everyone, I’d like to share my story with you. I’m new to the board and have already introduced myself. By telling my story chronically and in detail I’m hoping that some of you can relate or even provide with some answers where possible. Maybe for some of you it will be a feast of recognition al...

Hi everyone, My name is Hans and I’m a 44 yr old Dutch sufferer of CC. I recently joint this group and I’m very happy to have discovered that there is in fact a group of people all having the same decease and the horror that comes with it. Regretfully there is no such board or group in Holland and I...
