Fish Sauce

I use fish sauce in Thai cooking. It is all gluten free. If you get the Thai Kitchen red curry paste and follow the directions on the label it makes a fantastic curry dish. It has coconut milk, fish sauce and a little brown sugar. I make a dish called Masman Curry. It has onions, meat of choice. pot...

Has anyone posted on the colitis website?

I was just curious is anyone has posted about this support group on the Colitis and Chrons website? It might be very helpful. I also found it hard on a search to find this support group. I looked under several heading and nothing had come up. Just curious.

Ceila,

My daughter was highly alergic to yeast. We didn't want to believe it in the begining but it turned out to be true. It's unfortunate because that leaves out any breads. But, thaank god she's not allergic to corn.

Emily attached a picture to the Hi from Roni and Emily thread. How do you attach a picture and not have it come out so big?

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Emily is starting college in the fall. She is going to start community college and work on some of her basics. She is going to start out with 12 credits instead of the usual 15. We though it would be better to have a lighter load her first semester. I just don't want ...

I wish you could come to Austin and have Dr. Lubin as your GI doctor. His daughter and wife have Ceiliac disease. He actually uses Dr. Fine's test. I found him by contacting Dr. Fine and getting a list of GI's that use his test. I had also heard many recommendations from other people that use him as...

Just saw this post. Rice oil has a high frying tempeture, but is very expensive. Grapeseed oil also has a high frying tempeture and is a bit less expensive.

Emily update

Just wanted to say hi. Hope everyone is doing well. Emily has made much improvement. We are keeping Emily CC under control without any medication. She finally started getting some better stools when she was good about eliminating fruit and sugar. However, she is not keen on getting off the sugar. Sh...

I know it sound too good to be true. But, I have met some people who have been helped with acupunture for colitis. And many believe acupuncture to be a hoax, even though it has been practice for years and years. We can't even get out GI's to believe that food elimination helps MC, how the heck would...

Update Emily and Roni

Hi, everyone. Hope everyone is doing well. It seems that sugar is a big part of the puzzle. Emily has been doing much better since she has cut down her sugar consumption. Fruit seems to be the biggest culprit. She's not allergic to corn, but does not tolerate corn sugar in large doses. I have been d...

Emily Update

Emily just got her Great Smokey Diagnostic testing back. No parasites or bad bacteria or yeast problems. They did say she had trouble digesting sugars. That is interesting. I just read The Self-Help Way to Treat Colitis and Other IBS Conditions, by De Lamar Gibbons, MD. This book makes so much sense...
