Re: Small Fiber Neuropathy
Tex, Thanks for your reply. Have you found the neuropathy to be stable over time? It is interesting about SFN just like MC there isn't much they know about it and there is limited effective treatment. My MC has been stable, I continue to take a small amount of Cholestyramine daily. I am very gratefu...

Small Fiber Neuropathy
Has anyone been diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy? If so what are you doing for it? Tex, I read one of your previous posts that you were taking Metanax, are you still doing that and is it helping? Thanks! Donna

Hi Deb, I went to the Mayo Clinic for a second opinion in 2013, and saw Dr Pardi. He does the research for MC, and his suggestion for me was to be on Entocort for as long as I needed. He did not give me any other recommendations, such as diet changes and supplements. They did use the my colonoscopy ...

Gloria, I ordered Budez CR from All Day Chemist in 2014, but never needed it, I checked and it has many tiny pink coated beads in each capsule. I compared it to Budesonide which has much larger encapsulated white beads in each capsule. The Budesonide is 4 about years old so perhaps color has changed...

I have been on the Sandoz Choletyramine, thanks to Polly sharing her information, for over 2 years, and I go up and down in my dose depending how my gut is functioning. I have occasional flares, related to decreasing my dosage, but overall I am satisfied with the control I am able to achieve. I am o...

Laine, Thought I would share my experience with Cholestyramine. I started it 2 years ago at 2 scoops/packets/day. After 6 months I was doing well and decided to stop, and had a major flare. Going back on did not immediately stop the flare, however I continued with the Cholestyramine and tried the au...

Deb, My experience with Cholestyramine, taking 2 scoop/day, was my cholesterol went down 10%, from 200 to 180, and vitamin D went down slightly, but still close to 50. So it did not affect those values drastically, but it did have some effect. I would be concerned about Cholestyramine binding with t...

Deb, Congratulations on your son!! Sounds like he is doing better with his health issues. I also did not have a good response to Lialda and progressively got worse when I tried it 6 years ago. Not everyone responds to Cholestyramine, you could discontinue it and see if it makes a difference with you...
