Hi Wayne, You have an excellent point. I have wondered if diverticulitis could be an issue with those of us with MC. I am closely monitoring my symptoms and I’m hoping I won’t need to seek MD care a this point! However I will do so should I remain in this state! I think I have forgotten about having...

Hi All! I agree with Gabe’s that MC is a for life condition. I’ve been doing great since 2013. Off gluten, dairy, tuna, beef, etc. have done beautifully after taking budesonide and following my diet. Then this past December I took 2 ibuprofen for a migraine headache. I haven’t taken ibuprofen since ...

Trying to find recipe for GF flour mix Without Rice!

Hi everyone, I am working on combining a flour mixture that I can use for bread as well as baked goods. The problem is I am allergic to rice. All the recipes I have seen have rice flour in them. Any suggestions would very appreciated! Trish http://s15.postimg.org/byuzc6dcn/Grandma_and_Autumn_2013_be...

Just catching up myself. I am so sorry Marliss to hear of this little guy suffering with Stevens-Johnson syndrome. I have only seen this condition once in my career. All ER's have a "What to do " book so we can identify this in a patient. Usually it is medications that trigger this...speci...

Thanks everyone for your input! Whew....I am relieved to hear that it does not sound like steroid w/d. I really want to get off the Budesonide and control my MC with diet only. So far I have been pretty good about my diet! I sure have learned a lot about gluten, dairy, eggs and soy. I have b...

Hi Sheila,
Sounds like your regime is a slower way to reduce the meds. I may try that and see if I feel better.
Thanks so much for your input!

Budesonide withdrawl???

Anyone ever experience this? I just went from 6mg to 3mg budesonide on Friday. It's Sunday now and I have had some crazy symptoms. I am extremely sleepy. Also, I get hot then 2 seconds later I'm freezing. I'm feeling depressed, anxious, and generally out-of-sorts. Is this related to the decrease in ...

Thank you Ladies for your input! Now I will really watch everything I eat more closely. I DO feel better since I have avoided gluten and eggs. It took about 6 weeks but my energy returned, my depression lifted, and no more gurgles and grumbling! My Doc still has me on 6mg of Budesonide, so no more d...

Thanks again

On Saturday, I had a small container of yoghurt...(just didn't want it to go to waste) On Monday I was not well. No diarrhea but gas like crazy, depression, joint aches, and fatigue like craz...

Packaged nuts from Costco...has side warning...

Hi! My Husband just came home from Costco with a bag of "Kirkland fruit and nuts." I can't have cashews and this mix is perfect for me. However, it states that this food is processed on equipment that uses tree nuts, eggs, wheat, etc. Does anyone know just how far wee have to go to stay aw...
