Thanks, Linda I haven't tried fermented vegetables but what you say makes a whole lot of sense. I think I'll wait a bit till my tummy calms down b4 trying tho. My prior experience with probiotics is similar to yours. I puzzle with do they work, don't they and then I quit. It's just that now I have t...

They should read your book!!

After reading what you said about probiotics, I think I'll lay off. It would just be adding another unknown into the already soupy mix.

Thanks!

Amazing, Tex. Looks like this study from 2014 is still buying into the myth, same as they were in '97. Really discouraging. I thought knowledge would have broadened over time. I could be wrong. lol With the flare of the flare I'm having, my husband thinks I should see the Doctor. Why, said I. All th...

Rsolution of MC within 38 months? Sounds like a Fairy Tale

Good evening, Potty People I've been speaking with an online friend who's a Dietician about various Intestinal/MC topics, and the subject of the benefits of probiotics in MC, if any, came up. She sent me a link to a study that tested the probiotic VSL3 against Mescalamine in patients with MC. In rea...

I spray the tops of my legs every time I go to the toilet. (Have small spray bottle by the loo) Gabes, I think this may be one of the best bits of advice you've given me! I now have a bottle by the loo also and spray my legs each time I use the toilet. I also have a bottle at bedside, and one by my...

I was using a product from Klaire Labs and I didn't notice when I purchased it, but earlier I saw MagOX mentioned on the label and thought, "Oh NO!". :mallet: It doesn't say it's buffered but word 4 word it says "Magnesium (TRACCS, magnesium biglycinate chelate, magnesium oxide) 100mg...

Jean and Brandy, Can I ask what dosage of MG Glycinate you take daily? With food or empty stomach? I have some 100mg capsules. I have read that we need an additional 400mg/daily along with our diet, so that would be 4 capsules/day. Maybe because I tried to take 4 throughout the day I got D...??? As ...

Good Afternoon, Potty People! I've been thinking about what you said about my tagline, Tex, and here are some of my conclusions. Re: RLS If I ever had any doubt I was MG deficient, that notion was quashed overnight. After reading your post, I thought Hmmmmm, why not, and slathered MG oil topically o...

Tex & Gabes, I have long suspected I'm MG deficient because the onset of the RLS coincided exactly with my CC diagnosis after 6 months of D. At that time, my Potassium was also low @ 3.1, and serum MG was in the normal range, as it always is, but a very low normal. I took a Potassium replacement...

A good doctor who will listen and is interested in YOU and YOUR issues is a treasure. I am very thankful for my GI doc and new PCP. You're so right, Sheiila, and very, very lucky!! Unfortunately, I have neither. You have a sense of my PCP from my last post, and my GI, when I was diagnosed, told me ...

Update to Flare of 5/18

I apologize if this gets posted twice, but not sure I put the first one in the right place...so here it comes again. ***Update*** Good news, folks! I wrote about my flare on 5/18, and since that time I have been very faithful to a bland, GF EF DF SF diet, I wanted to let you know that I'm much impro...

***Update*** Good news, folks! I wrote about my flare on 5/18, and since that time I have been very faithful to a bland, GF EF DF SF diet, I wanted to let you know that I'm much improved with even a few "normans" in the mix; Frequency is much decreased, 1-2 BMs/day; and foul odor has left ...

Pre-flare I was eating cooked carrots with my evening meal which wouldn't have have helped with my Carb Count/day. Would love to be do...
