I justed posted a similar message before I saw yours. Michael called me also. Has anyone notified Polly? I was just thinking about Sally and the old Potty People group. Sally helped many of us, but she doesn't even know how helpful she was to me through an especially difficult time. She always had s...

Sad News

I am sorry to be the bearer of sad news. I was just notified by Sally's son that she passed away this past weekend due to a sudden cardiac event. I will let folks know when I hear more information about a memorial. Sally was a great support to many of us years ago when no one had ever heard of micro...

Pat, thanks for the info. Yes, my dentist did prescribe a toothpaste that seems to be pure floride & he told me to chew gum with a special ingredient - the name slips my mind at the moment but it is in Trident & that seems to help a lot. I use warm water for the sensitivity & anymore I j...

Hi Polly - just sent you a message. You will be in my thoughts & prayers. My dad had sinus surgery years ago & it seemed to help him. I avoided it by moving away from sage brush country - though I miss the moose - I was highly allergic to sage. Take care.

Love,
Moose

My eye doctor is the first medical professional that diagnosed my Sjogrens - he was able to tell by physically examining my eyes. There is not a blood test I know of that would detect it. I have dry eyes - to the point that I can't see at night when they are the dryest, dry mouth (and now one full o...

Yeah Tex, the diarrhea always returned, but it was nice having a respite from it for at least a couple of weeks & sometimes it even induced a temporary remission. I always thought it iinteresting though, as Polly & you have, that an antibiotic could have such an effect on MC.

Hi Sunny!

I just saw this post. I had addressed you in another post too. I also have Sjogren's in addition to my RA. It is very common for RA & Sjogren's to go hand in hand, so it is still possible you have RA or enteropathic arthritis. RA tends to affect the body bilaterally. In other words, both wrists,...

Cipro, RA, Enteropathic arthritis & stuff...

Hello all. I haven't had time to read the posts in any depth, but I couldn't help but notice that Polly & some others have finally discovered how wonderfully Cipro clears up MC. I used to praise the wonderous antibiotic a couple of years ago, but you all didn't seem to believe me or take me very...

Regarding Cipro

Polly, remember me always happy whenever the doctor put me on Cipro for a sinus infection! I don't think anyone on the board ever believed me when I touted how well the Cipro controlled my MC. You might want to check the site for UC & Crohn's disease. I believe I read somewhere that there is som...

So sorry...

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother, but L don't beat yourself up! You are in no way responsible for his death or the circumstances surrounding his death in any way. You may not of been there physically, but I am sure you were with him in spirit. Sometimes the hardest thing is letting go of thin...

Tacoma

Hey Jill, We still need to get together. Yes, I do pass through Tacoma on occasion. Lately, have been avoiding all the road construction & I have not had any need to go near a GI doc  Let me know if you are ever up our way & one of these days, I will have to get to Tacoma & visit!...

No side effects.

Just two more things - Polly, I have no real side effects from the Humira other than being tired for a day after the injection. It seems to be easier on my body. My hair has grown back & gotten fine & straight again & grayer than ever. I do not get the easy bruising & the fragile ski...

Yeah - it's me.

You guys are just too smart - I thought I would just pass along my news incognito. It kind of crept up on me - the remission. One day I realized I couldn't remember the last time I had taken a lomotil. Polly, the Humira is covered well by my insurance. The Remicade was very costly & cost me much...

Complete Remission

Just wanted to post this for general information. I have been in complete remission of my MC since I was started on Humira for Rheumatoid Arthritis, almost 2 years ago. I was able to discontinue Entocort, I no longer need to take any Lomotil - used to have to take 6-8 pills a day & I am only on ...
