i recall seeing that debate in the past. Some want to link the different type of caseins to a cause of heart attacks. I believe there is a book called the Devils Milk that delves into that. I personally doubt it is true. I stopped drinking milk a number of years ago due to it's poor taste to me more...

I remember this article from a few years ago! I'm guessing the Pope, and his reported love of pasta and pizza, didn't take the advice well.

Pope Francis Told to 'Eat Less Pasta' by Doctors

I thought the Nitric Oxide (NO) and blood clot theory of heart disease prevention better than the cholesterol theory. The guy even won a noble prize for his work on NO. I just thought to mention as the NO theory is more in line with how we address MC. There are several books about nitric oxide, but ...

Very best of luck to your husband! I hope treatment works well. If it might help, recently read about the pioneering work of Sister Elizabeth Kenny. She was popular in her day. Hollywood made a popular movie about her life. Sister Kenny is credited with creating physical therapy, therapy used today ...

I remember Dr. Davis's web sight when it was mainly about preventing heart disease. He took a throw the kitchen sink attitude toward heart disease prevention. He tried many different ideas. From his writings, he felt his program had good success at preventing heat attacks in his patients. One of the...

That is a typical breakfast for me also, rice and left over meat from the nice before, along with a fruit such as an orange.

I think in some circumstances the doctor is right. There are people following a gluten free diet, spending much more for gluten free foods, that will not see much health benefit out of their efforts. That's been talked about on this sight before though. In ways it seems to be a politically created d...

I remember reading the former President was placed on steroids for the stomach problems. That was used to explain why he put on the weight, and had a puffy face.

Apparently Elvis experienced similar, with stomach issues, taking steroids and putting on weight.

Kewl! Another crazy earther. I buy EKG patches and at night stick one to the bottom of a foot, a major acupuncture sight, and plug into the grounding line. It keeps my heart healthy I tell others. Seriously though, doing that has helped my knees better than anything else I've done. I'll play tennis ...

I've found grounding helpful with my MC. If I hold a grounding pad long enough across my stomach, holding with my hands onto the pad, I'll often be well. I don't understand why that happens, and it doesn't always help, but frequently it does. On Youtube there are videos demonstrating how grounding/e...

I wonder if the increase in colon and rectal cancer is due to newer tests, diagnosis methods and cancer definitions? That at least has been a complaint I've read in the past about different cancer diagnosis. Some argue about how different cancers are defined such as thyroid, breast, prostate, skin c...

This happened many years ago. I worked in the health food industry for awhile. The company I was at didn't handle herbs but I remember being told a story about St. John's Wart. At one point Barbara Walters did a special on St. Johns Wart. The result was that the product sold off the shelves quickly....

I've been using a vitamin D lamp in the winter time. Once I began using that I stopped developing colds/flu. Before it was common for me to develop a cold/flu once or twice during winter time. Recently I began reading about light or sun therapy. I ran across a few other references to others that sto...
