Cholestyramine

I started cholestyramine 10 days ago. So far, it has made the number of urgency trips decrease from 10+ to 5-6. Still liquid in consistency. Do I need more time to evaluate the effectiveness of this for me, or should I assume it is not really helping? I went back to the GI last week and that was my ...

Should I retest with Enterolab?

Thanks for your response, too, Tex. I have reread the MCC book, and the Vitamin D3 book. I do only have the original version, however. Brandy, How did you figure out that you one day could not tolerate olive oil, for example. I guess what I am really asking is how did you decide on the "the thr...

Should I retest with Enterolab?

Thanks for your response, Brandy. OUCH! I have cut out many things, but I honestly hadn't considered cutting down this dramatically. And I do think denial has had something to do with it, because looking back, things had started to be more problematic as far back as September. It gradually spiraled ...

Should I retest with Enterolab?

I am recently back. I was originally diagnosed in 2013 and reached a pretty healthy remission sometime in 2014. I had added many things back into my diet, like dairy, but not gluten or soy. I am in the midst of a terrific flare, since Thanksgiving. I tightened my diet to what it was before, but the ...

Full-blown Flare

Hi, I was diagnosed with CC in 2013. Budesonide didn't work for me, and I didn't want to use the heavy duty drugs so with the help of everyone here on this site, I obtained remission with diet and was really good....until I wasn't. I had added in dairy and eggs, stayed away from gluten and soy, but ...

Thankful

I, too, don't know where I would be without your help, Tex, and everyone else who contributes. I am "lucky" that I found the site close to my diagnosis, but everything I have learned about this disease and how to get better, I have learned from this site. I realized early on that my GI was...

Magnesium Glycinate is easier to tolerate for those of us who have D issues. This was recommended by the naturopathic Dr. I have seen, and I am up to 500 mg /day without any change in GI issues. I purchased it at a health food store.

Thank you both, Tex and Gabes. I appreciate your thoughtful informed responses. The people here are definitely the experts on MC, so I'm glad I asked. For clarification, this is a subcutaneous injection that would be about every 7 weeks, but if it is just masking inflammation, it is in some ways no ...

Low dose antigen therapy

I have been seeing a naturopathic Dr. and she has done additional serum testing for food sensitivities that informed me of 36 additional things to avoid!! Some of it is confusing, and not in total agreement with Enterolab, and I know I have read on this forum that Enterolab trumps others. For exampl...

Gabes, I don't exactly know - as lame as that sounds. I am taking magnesium glycinate '100mg as magnesium bisglycinate chelate', one per day. I use the Ancient minerals oil on my trunk - about 8 sprays total, front and back, and lotion on my arms and legs. I have done random epsom salt baths. I thin...

I am very interested in this thread. I have had itching for several months. This itching has mostly been on my trunk and head, not my arms or legs, really, but I want to scratch my skin off. Lesions develop from the scratching, but I don't get hives. It is not itching that one can ignore. (Or at lea...

I got the book....and today went out and bought epsom salts and I ordered ancient minerals lotion and oil and I also started Natural Calm. It seems complicated. Thanks for drawing attention to this issue.
Gabes, how much and what form do you use?
