Day 1 is not so good for me. Did you have any initial upset? I am having moderate cramping/gas :( even on 1/2 dose.

Dr. Deb, just wondering how you are doing on the Ultra inflam a couple weeks down the road. I just started taking a 1/2 dose today so we'll see what happens. I opted for the original (not 360) which I think suites me better. Fingers crossed...

I tried to stop taking it a couple of times but I have terrible myofascial pain connected to a neck injury, along with insomnia without it. I only learned recently that they are antihistamines which is so interesting to me since I discovered histamine intolerance.

I take 10 mg of nortriptyline and have never had to increase the dose. When I went off the amitriptyline I lost 15 pounds in about the same time it took to put it on!

Monique, it might be worth checking into nortriptyline...same family and mode of action as amitriptyline. While amitriptyline is at the top of the list for cholinergic side effects nortriptyline is at the bottom. I made the switch easily many years ago and felt dramatically better. While on amitript...

I took this several years ago and remember I tolerated it well. I still had a parasite infection so it didn't solve my problems. Do you know what the difference between the reg. Inflam x and the 360+ is - I don't see it?

One possible connection between gerd and asthma is a mast cell issue. They could be involved in either of these conditions. Some kind of allergy, food or environmental could be a trigger.

I wish I could give paleo a try though I'm not much of a meat fan. However, I don't tolerate eggs, beef (even free range organic), and some turkey probably due to histamines. I react to sweet potato, white potato, carrots, parsnips and winter squash too, perhaps because of high oxalates. It doesn't ...

Thanks, Tex. I did send Jane a PM and was hoping to connect since I am also in Kalamazoo, but I haven't heard back. I didn't see an email address listed for her.

I may contact Dr. Fenyves and will share anything I find out.

Has anyone on the site seen Dr. Jeffrey Fenyves in TN? I see him listed but am not sure where the recommendation comes from. Also, I wonder if anyone else besides jgivens has seen Dr. Crane in Grand Rapids. Jgivens doesn't appear to be on the forum anymore so I am wondering how things turned out und...

That's really interesting because my experience is the same. I eat a rice/quinoa hot cereal for bf every morning and do really well with it. Perhaps it has something to do with processing.

Thanks for the information, and the link, Tex. I usually have a pretty immediate reaction to traces of gluten (respiratory - positive IgE) though I will be more careful in purchasing grains. I definately have problems with some other high oxalates including collards, sweet potatoes, sesame and nuts ...
