vegan diet
Hi, I don't check in to this site very often anymore, so I just saw your post. I have been a vegan for quite a few years and got my CC diagnosis about 2 1/2 years ago. I also had intestinal damage that was indicative of celiac disease but blood tests were negative. I finally went gluten free about 2...

Thanks for the input. I have been using heat exclusively for pain relief. I ordered some heat mitts ( sold for beauty purposes to soften hands) from amazon and they have helped tremendously. But they can't be used all the time, you have to have time to sit and do nothing for a while. I am happy to k...

Hi, I haven't posted in a while, just been reading posts and absorbing information. I have been diagnosed with arthritis in my hands (I tested negative for rheumatoid and lupus). I know not to take nsaids but my doctor ( a pill pusher) prescribed Valtaren gel which is a topical nsaid. I researched t...

Theresa, Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I just assumed that a ready made pasta sauce would have a lot of additives in it. I don't use any premade food and haven't for quite a few years, long before my MC diagnosis. I was just trying to point out that there is way to fix meals without having ...

Why don't you just buy some plain tomato sauce with no additives and add some spices yourself. It is not that much more difficult that the ready made versions of pasta sauce out there. There is so much processed food available that is full of additives and chemicals that we don't need in our bodies....

Tex, Thanks for the information. I still haven't ruled out the enterolab testing I just want to wait 6 months after going GF to see if that will help. I have not been able to pinpoint any food that causes me a problem by itself. I don't have any reactions to anything that I eat, my BMs are fairly re...

Vanessa, I have been gluten free for 3 1/2 months. I am a vegan so dairy and eggs weren't a problem to begin with. My body is reacting about the same as yours, some improvement in BMs, some normans especially the first one in the morning but then they get looser as the day goes on, though they are n...

a decent diet plan for me
Polly, I have been eating a lot of well overcooked vegetables, butternut squash, potatoes and sweet potatoes. Buckwheat and quinoa for breakfast, well ground and soaked overnight to improve digestibility. Nut butter on gluten free bread for lunch. I made a rice congee ( soaked overnight and cooked 6...

Polly, Thanks for the information. Unfortunately it is a matter of being able to tolerate meat and eggs, the smell of meat and the thought of eating it make me nauseous. My acupuncturist got me to eat some eggs a couple of months ago but after a couple they became harder to eat until I just couldn't ...

how to implement a low fiber diet for intestinal healing
After much research and keeping a food journal for a couple of months I finally decided to try going gluten free. I have been gluten free for 2 1/2 weeks and have had a few days when I felt better but overall there has not been any improvement. I am a vegan and although I only eat cooked vegetables ...

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately I can't afford the enterolab testing unless insurance pays for it. I will schedule a visit with my doctor to see if she can order it for me. The antihistime is interesting, I resist taking any kind of drugs whenever possible, so I will research homeopathic r...

Thanks for the welcome. I ordered your book from Amazon last week and have read most of it. There is a lot of good information in there. Here is my history. I started having some diarrhea about 6 years ago, a couple of months after entering perimenopause. The symptoms lasted a couple of weeks and th...
