I wish the best of luck to you. Please let us know if you're successful. So far I've heard of plenty of success stories about treating C. diff, but no success stories from anyone who has actually been able to resolve MC or any other IBD by means of fecal transplant treatments. Tex thanks for the lu...

Re: Finally some relief!

I have been struggling with the flare that started in March. I was put on budesonide, which I took for 3 weeks with out any relief, but lots of side effects. Including, an increase in blood sugar, nervousness and in general, just feeling horrible. The doctor then put me on imuran, which didn't work...

Thank you, Tex. I want to hear the results of that experiment......... Ever since you posted the poll question about root canal, I've wondered about that (of course, I've wondered about drugs I've taken as well) as my trigger. I had an infection under a tooth that had already had a root canal. I le...

My heart breaks for you both, Kayare and hooseir1 as well as many others who have shared their stories. Thinking back to the time I got sick, I was also going through a divorce, shortly after being sick, I lost my job and totaled my car. I was so stressed my hair started falling out. I think now tha...

Hi Healthydesire, Did your friend ever tell you what his ailment was? Jon No, Jon, I didn't. He was my rebound after my divorce. When it became mutually agreed we weren't meant for each other, we just parted ways. We kept in touch on facebook for a while but that is it. I think he fully recovered f...

Thank you Sheila, DebE13, and Polly for your replies. I really appreciate it! Having CC and not knowing it is like living in the dark trying to find your way. At least i have a name for it now. I find it very interesting how you, Sheila got it from antibiotics. For me, antibiotics are a last resort ...

Do you know how you got MC?

I know exactly how I got MC. It was 2009, I was a newly divorced woman and just met a nice looking man on line. We went on a date, seemed to go well but when I was going to see him again he was very ill. I thought he was exaggerating. After a week, he said he was on the mend so I went to see him (he...

dfpowell, thanks for the advice. I've learned that pears, at least with the skin, give me a bad reaction. I'm fine with eggs but not dairy. I had the lab tests done to prove that. I got bored as all get out with the six food choices I've been living on for nearly 2 wks and last night had a burger wi...

I can't tell except I've lost weight. I know wheat is an inflammatory so I believe avoiding it is probably wise. I'm still missing it from my morning eggs.

I'm down to having diarrhea once a day unless I eat something I shouldn't. I suppose I'd consider that still "often"

congratulations, Polly! That is awesome. I hope to one day be there myself. I've been DF for over 3 months and gluten free for about 10 days. Did you take any supplements as well as avoid certain foods?

Has anyone else here tried the SCD diet/lifestyle?

Hi all, I am on my 10th day of following a 6 week meal plan on this diet. It is similar to Paleo but not the same. I've noticed a whole lot less symptoms. While the meal plan is pretty bland, ex: carrot and chicken soup, is just that, I don't find myself cramping, bloating and having constant diarrh...
