strange turn of events-- constipation
Hi all, I've been struggling with diarrhea, abdominal pain, and nausea for a long time (diagnosed w lymphocytic colitis, proctitis, and celiac disease) and have tried multiple treatments (diet and meds), with slow recent improvement, particularly with my diarrhea. On Friday, I had the worst abdomina...

Entocort tapering
Hi, I'm sorry, I know a lot has been posted about this in the past, but I couldn't find this specific information. I'm in the process of tapering my entocort (very slowly!)-- I've taken it for about a year and started tapering in December. I had significant withdrawal symptoms in December, so switch...

lidocaine shots
H, I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with lidocaine shots. I'm supposed to have a skin biopsy tomorrow that will include 3 lidocaine shots in different parts of my leg. Does any know if this will trigger a flare?
thanks!
thanks!

By the way, do antihistamines usually help with GI symptoms or just typical allergy ones? I don't have any typical allergy symptoms or itchiness, was just hoping they would help with some of the pain. Benadryl seemed to make my diarrhea worse, but Zyrtec is at least helping me sleep (and causing som...

Thanks, I've actually been eating gluten free for the past 11 years (I have celiac disease). It's a bit confusing because the symptoms I'm having now are different than my symptoms prior to taking entocort (different type of diarrhea and stomach cramping), which makes me think this is steriod withdr...

Entocort tapering
Hi, I know there are a lot of posts on this topic, so I'm really sorry it this is repetitive. I was on entocort for 9 months and started tapering to 6 mg 11 days ago. I was ok at first, but have had diarrhea for the past three days. My doctor told me to just go back on 9mg, but I'd really love to tr...

Thanks for the helpful advice- I now understand why the bentyl seems to be causing an increase in acid reflux. But, it is the first medication that seems to really help with my cramping and pain, without too many side effects. I react to most medications, but have been pleasantly surprised by this o...

Antihistamine help
Hi, I recently tried using Zyrtec to help with some of my symptoms, but it seems to be highly sedating (although sadly doesn't help me sleep at night)! Any recommendations for another antihistamine to try? My situation has gotten a bit complicated- I was recently diagnosed with proctitis (currently ...

I just starting using a rice protein that I found in whole foods- NutriBiotic rice protein. The only ingredients are rice protein, sprouted brown rice, and natural vanilla flavor (they also have an unflavored one). It is gluten free and hasn't upset upset my stomach yet (although doesn't taste great...

The bizarre thing about the results is that I had blood IgG testing done a few months ago and it came back highly positive for casein. I know the tests measure different things, but I was surprised that they were contradictory. Interesting about the potatoes-- I've been eating russet potatoes daily ...

Hi, thanks for your help! I actually did the enterolab testing before I got your responses and the results came back positive for everything (I did the vegetarian panel). I'm having trouble wrapping my head around these results-- that my system can't tolerate any major food group. Any suggestions on...
