Thanks, Polly! Appreciate your input. How's that knee???
Agree with parental permission before tanning bed...I'd like requirements for permission on just about everything ;)

I know that many hold that view on tanning beds. I spent a lot of time thinking about it and researching them, and ultimately, I feel safe going 1x/week. I think I said 2 in my first post, but I've knocked it down to 1 with my recent D3 results. Mercola (who you may or may not agree with on a regula...

Thanks, Tex & Gabes. I'm feeling better, surprisingly, and now feeling like 'the bug' was at least part (most?) of the problem. Whew! Never was the GI bug so appreciated. Would much rather have that than a colitis flare. Gabes, I had a Rolfing appt. scheduled today & had her check for ovaria...

Sharin' that I'm Flarin'

Ugh. Here it is again! Had a brief "prologue" of symptoms on Thursday, but I got hit full-force Sunday evening. A wild ride that began with feeling constipated Saturday (& Sunday) transitioned into explosive diarrhea (but *that* part was short-lived), extraordinary gas (hard to expel--...

A quick update. Jackson loved the Edward & Sons Veggie cracker. Yay!
It seems that Ener-G's "Wylde" pretzel (small rings) is GF, DF, SF....

Thanks for the tips, Sue. I do see where Almond Thins have dairy. Shoot!! Any crackers you've found that are passable? Suppose I better get baking. Grr... I can't throw these out yet though--not until we have a substitute. They are his favorite! And he's doing well right now -- with no gas, D or C, ...

Thanks for your words, Polly. I go to J's preschool often, yes. The kids always bring their own lunches and snacks, so J gets what I pack. Thankfully, he usually does like the typical meals I create. Right now, we're enjoying kale/sausage/potato soup since it's so cold! Tonight I made up some lentil...

Hi. Jackson (thanks, Polly!) does go to preschool 3 days per week. But, when any gluten sneaks in (once), they're quick to tell me. This is usually during a party situation, which is rare. He's pretty good about asking if something has gluten, though every once in awhile, he tries to sneak something...

I don't know, Tex. And his gluten antibodies are really high, right? Let me think. He did get glutened at school (one serving animal crackers) several months ago. As for dairy & soy, it's possible that he could have gotten a stray trace here and there, but not in our day to day household foods.....

My son's Enteolab results & an update

Hi all! Long time; no write. Busy with snow clean-up here, and we sure hope its over for awhile. I wanted to share Jackson's (3 1/2) test results with you all. We are sad but not surprised, and of course grateful that we've been eating gluten, dairy & soy free for 2 years... These are my questio...

Gloria-- SO sorry to hear that you are facing a big decision in a relatively short time. As the others pointed out, that brings stress & anxiety. I am surely praying for you--for wisdom, for an excellent outcome, for provision (for food & meds that are kind to your GI), and for PEACE. Certai...

I'm pretty sure that Mercy Corp is the aid agency that my husband's cousin works for. They just moved (work-related) from Jordan to Zimbabwe. If this is the same group, it seems to be an excellent organization.

Just sent her a quick email in follow-up to some PT questions. I think she's doing well, but I don't think she'll mind my saying that she's a bit apprehensive about hearing noises with prescribed exercise & movement. I encouraged her that her experience is normal. Sounds like she's in good spiri...
