LC cells in stomach

I posted on here earlier in November after being unwell for 4 months. A couple of weeks ago, 2 days after a gastroscopy and biopsies, I started to get episodes of diarrhoea accompanied with severe abdominal cramps. My GP wondered if it was a flare of the LC (even though each episode lasted for about...

I don't really suffer from the symptoms of GERD, I was taking nexium because it stopped my hiatus hernia from sliding up into my chest. I've been on a low carb diet now for months and that hasn't made any difference to my symptoms and I'm sure that it's the hiatus hernia because I can feel it pressi...

Thanks, Jean, I just wondered if turmeric would help at this stage but I'm happy not to be taking yet another pill! Can you tell me, how should I be weaning myself off of the PPIs? I've broken my 40mg Esomeprazole in half so taking 20mg in the morning but not sure how long I should take it for, bear...

Just wondering if it's recommended to take turmeric capsules as they are anti inflammatory?

That's great to hear that you've dealt with your hiatus hernia, Gabes. I haven't suffered with indigestion or anything like that, it's just that mine slides up into my chest and that's very uncomfortable to say the least. Where can I find the gut healing plan? I will definitely try it as need to get...

I've just taken magnesium - figured it can't hurt and may even help! And I already take an antihistamine regularly as I suffer from intensely itchy skin if I don't take it. What a wreck, lol!!

Thanks for your message Tex. I hear what you're saying about the PPI but it seems to be the only thing that keeps my hiatus hernia from sliding up into my chest. When that happens, I can't even drink water, let alone anything else. At the moment the nausea is so horrible that I'm not eating but it w...

Long story but please help!

Hello All, I've not been on here for a looooong time as my LC has been relatively under control and my diet has largely remained the same as I believe that NSAID's are the main trigger. However, after a horrible 14 weeks of illness and trying everything else I suddenly had that "lightbulb"...

I don't like steroids but Budesonide ( Entocort) is not like taking Prednisolone etc. It doesn't get absorbed until it gets to the bowel so there are very few side effects. It worked very well for me.

At last, some good news! I contacted FedEx who say that they are able to ship the sample to Enterolab so I'm happy now that I know. Thanks for all your advice. FedEx were the only one who said that they could do this. I tried DHL, UPS as well as a few others and FedEx was the one to say that they co...

There was no reason apart from the fact that you have to be a company or business to send biological samples. But I have some good news, I contacted FedEx and they said that they can do it, thank goodness! Clemmie

I've just contacted them and they say that I have to have a special account and that they can't set up accounts for one off shipments. Clemmie
