Thank you Tex. This is exactly what feels right. Strangely enough I can accept the fact - it is those around me who wish to 'fix' me. Thank you for being there....I am not sure what I would have done without you these last few difficult months. Wishing you the most amazing Christmas and every succes...

Prednisone?????

Hello. I am now four months without D. I still cannot eat gluten, soya, fruit, lactose or anything cold (salads etc). My consultant advises I take 1mg of above 2 x daily. I am not sure. He says it might accelerate healing. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks😑

Oh but who else but the amazing people on this site would understand our preoccupation with poo colour, texture, size, shape etc. When I was really ill with the big d all day and night I would dream and visualise going to the loo and producing a perfect poo. The day it happened I was euphoric. Good ...

MARMALADE AND SUNFLOWER SEEDS

Hello I am, thankfully, in remission due to dietary advice received from you all. I tried marmalade today for the first time for months (rather than, stupidly, lactose free cheese which has now become my breakfast norm) and although it was only a scraping I have had a set back. I just wonder WHY thi...

Focaccio

This is my life saver. 2 cups buckwheat flour. 1/2 cup of olive oil. 3 tbspns cider vinegar and 1 1/2 cups water. Mix all together with salt and pepper. Place in oven for 30 mins on 200. I love it and keep some in my handbag for when I am starving. I even took it on holiday with me to eat on the pla...

Rice

Just to say that the D didn't slow down for me until I cut RICE out of my diet....something I was eating lots of as I assumed it was okay. I had already cut out gluten, soya, dairy and fructose....and the loo visits had slowed down....but as soon as I cut out rice I turned the corner. Still haven't ...

Hi Carol

Welcome to this amazing forum. I cannot advise you, strongly, enough, to listen to the words/experience of people here. 6 weeks ago I couldn't have imagined I would have been in this place. After 6 months of chronic D - up to 30 times a day and losing 28 lbs I felt so weak that I was beginning to ge...

the nausea on top of everything else must be a challenge Robin, sorry to hear that. Can you eat buckwheat? What about gluten free flour? I virtually lived on pancakes made with almond milk, gluten free flour added to chopped, fried bacon initially. Then I discovered I can eat buckwheat flour too. I ...

Overwhelming Fatigue???

Hi peeps. I have been big D free for one month now due, I am certain, to adhering to strict diet. I have started to introduce the odd new ingredient onto my platter - gluten free bread and custard powder for example. Although there hasn't been any dramatic stomach issues I have noticed a sweeping, o...

I am also newly diagnosed Treese. Thanks to finding this forum very early I believe it has changed the course of my illness. When I was at my lowest after 4 months of sitting on the loo (30 times day and night sometimes). Tex and others on the forum convinced me that I could heal through diet. I hav...

Finally....a result...oh and an alcohol question?

I keep on thanking you here.....but I cannot thank you too many times. I feel absolutely blessed for your advice on diet. I cannot imagine where I would now be without it. I know this isn't the end of the road - but after 4 months of hell....which I thought might last forever I have been diagnosed w...

Thanks Tex - really helpful. I have actually just started to eat lactose free cheese....possibly too much. I will gradually start to introduce more gentle fibres now.

Help....Constipation???

Hello Peeps. I have not been diagnosed with MC yet - although everything points to this and this forum and Tex's book kept me sane (whatever the doc eventually says). 3 weeks ago the idea of constipation seemed like a dream!! I'd had chronic diarrohea for over 4 months and was feeling dreadful. Afte...
