Re: skin rash because of food allergy?

it just now occurred to me, after reading Kari's comments, that my histamine problems began after my first or second Covid vaccine. Since then, I've had two boosters, one by Pfizer, the last by Moderna. My histamine problems have become progressively worse, to the point where I couldn't drink or ea...

COVID!

Ok, both my husband and I tested positive for COVID about a week and a half ago. This is my first time. I've had 2 vaccines and 2 boosters. We had been visiting family in Mississippi and spent some time down in Biloxi. I just thought I was catching cold as we had been in and out of hot and cold. We ...

Re: Our Daily Struggles

I happen to love frozen dairy free yogurt and have done very well with it when I've had it. We were visiting my in-laws in Mississippi and they have a frozen yogurt place so I went in to see what their dairy free flavors were. None were marked as dairy free so I asked the kid behind the counter if h...

Re: Anyone had COVID or Flu after both vaccinations and booster?

Well, for over 2 years, I have escaped the COVID virus. I'm a teacher and I'm pretty sure I've been exposed, but danged if I didn't get my 4th booster just 4 1/2 weeks ago and we left 2 weeks later to go visit my in-laws in Mississippi. We were out and about a lot and around a lot of people. Both my...

Re: Experience with Budesonide

I was on Budesonide for about 1 1/2 years and had no difficulties whatsoever. During that time, however, I cut out all the foods that my Enterolab stated I had reactions to which were gluten, dairy, and soy. I had to really wean off of it slowly. 1 tablet ever couple of days for a 2-3 weeks, and the...

Re: HOW CAN I AVOID A THREATENING RELAPSE?

Hi Treese, They do have both (broth and soup) but it's not always available in all places. If they have broth, I usually buy it, but if not, the chicken stock is made from cooking the whole chicken and it works for me. Hope that helps! Always check the ingredients before you buy though. Sometimes th...

Re: HOW CAN I AVOID A THREATENING RELAPSE?

I'm not Brandy, but I can tell you what I buy.

I get bone broth at Costco, Sam's or my King Sooper's (Kroger). I've used them all with no issues. Pacific Foods makes a good one and then I've just used the Kirkland or Sam's brands also. Brandy may have some other ideas.

Re: HOW CAN I AVOID A THREATENING RELAPSE?

Hi Treese, I agree with Brandy! Chicken broth and then adding rice and a little chicken breast is my go to for calming my stomach down. It is a stressful time we live in. I went back to playing the piano and that has helped my stress immensely! I can play away and reduce my stress. I also do a lot o...

Re: eating with others

Hi Sonja, I've had MC since 2015 and when I changed my diet, so did my husband. He doesn't cook and I wasn't going to fix 2 meals everytime so it was either you eat what I'm eating or starve! I know that's harsh, but I was working and I didn't have time to spend all the time in the kitchen fixing se...

Re: Anyone had COVID or Flu after both vaccinations and booster?

I didn't ask that question right. I know you can get COVID. I was just wondering about symptoms but most of my friends and yes, my husband, got Omicron and the symptoms were all nasal, like a sinus infection. My test was negative and the doctor couldn't find anything but did tell me that she had had...

Anyone had COVID or Flu after both vaccinations and booster?

I'm just trying to figure out what's going on with me. Back a couple of years ago, I would have just thought it was my GI issues and I ate something that didn't agree with me, but today it's hard to tell. I do have a doctor's appt. tomorrow afternoon to try to perhaps rule some things out or figure ...

Re: I'm back with questions about GERD

Tex, It's great to hear from you! I hope you're staying well. I remember from the last time that GERD was a mess to get under control. But the few things I did yesterday did seem to help a lot. I did that exercise yesterday that you described because I remembered that it worked well the last time an...

Re: IgG4 disease

I have a good friend that was just diagnosed with that last month. He was diagnosed quickly. The doctor told him it wasn't rare but it's not common either. It's autoimmune and it attacks your organs. He got to the doctor in time and they have him on medication. That's about all I know about it. Hear...

I'm back with questions about GERD

Hello Friends, I know it's been awhile since I've logged in, but I came back to search out info on GERD and heartburn today. For the last several days or so, I haven't felt very good and in this day and time you always wonder if it's COVID or something else. However, I'm pretty sure it's not COVID o...

Re: COVID VACCINE

I got my first Pfizer vaccine Friday. I had no issues at all. I do anticipate having a reaction from the 2nd one but I have a ways until that happens. I had a reaction to the 2nd Shingles shot and also the Pneumonia shot. As my pcp tells me, it just means your body is adjusting to it. Better to have...
