Food for thought
Wayne, you are so knowledgeable about gastric issues, I appreciate your thoughts--thank you :) I have adopted a GF, soy free, wheat free, dairy free diet consistently for the past 10 weeks. Although my gastric lymphoma is in remission and my H pylori is finally gone, I have atrophic gastritis (No GE...

Colitis stable, but now may have Gastroparesis. . .
Hi everyone, Happy to report that my Colitis is stable, no diarrhea and I have even been off the Colestid for a week now without problems. Unfortunately, my slow but steady weight loss continues and my persistent nausea, although better during the day, continues to keep me up at night. I'm lucky if ...

Setback--any thoughts?
Hi all, I have been following a GF, DF. WF, SF diet and taking Colestid once a day. I haven't had any diarrhea in over 2 weeks and have been able to stop taking anti diarrhea med as well. Last Friday, I ate out late--big no no for me with all of my other gastric issues (lymphoma, h pylori). It was a...

Thank you, Gabes!
Good suggestions, but I have to pass on the meat and veggies in the a.m. Other gastric issues mean I am very nauseated from approx 9 p.m. until about 10 a.m., unfortunately. I have a very physical job, so really need to eat some protein in the morning--will try a shake and muffin or Maybe shake and ...

Thanks, Jari. . .
Because of my lymphoma & nausea, I need to be cautious about the amount of meat I eat. I can barely brush my teeth in the a.m., so I know I couldn't eat meat in the morning.
Rice is one of the few things that doesn't make me nauseated :)

Need food suggestions, please. . .
I'm only eating certain foods and also taking the Colestid now. Flare-ups are starting to decrease, which is great, but I need suggestions for my very limited diet! Because of my many gastric issues and near constant nausea, I am mainly eating: GF Rice Chex Rice milk GF bread Rice Sweet potato Steak...

Oh, good--question?
I'm glad, because I also eat them. Breakfast ideas have been few for me/very nauseated in early a.m. And I'm at work by 6--any suggestions? Hard boiled eggs seem to be o.k. . .

Update/saw my Gastro Doc today
Hi all, Wanted to share my update after seeing the GI. He's starting me on Colestid (bile absorption), 2g daily in the a.m. Recommended cutting Immodium down to 1 a day and hopefully, less, if my symptoms start improving. He was very supportive regarding the diet changes and is having me try the All...

Immodium question?
I currently follow a limited diet and take Immodium twice a day, 4 days a week, on the days I work. I do not have a bowel movement those days, so I back off the Immodium on my days off. I seem to be going back and forth between diarrhea and constipation, which is definitely making my nausea worse an...

I so appreciate the advice and feedback! I wanted to respond to everyone individually, but was up again all night, so one post it is :) I have not been tested for celiac disease, but will ask my GI about that tomorrow. Wayne, my lymphoma is a rare type that is caused by and continues to recur due to...

 Hi all, I'm really happy to have found this forum and have already read most of Wayne's book., as well as a few posts. I'm hoping you can help me figure out a starting point. Here's my background: I have two chronic illnesses that are stable but limit my energy and activity level. In Janua...
