Polly, I am so sad to read of your loss of Rusty. I was hoping he would pull through this and be o.k.

To those who posted poems thankyou so much. They were wonderful.

Polly, Our Redbone Coonhound turned 14 last month. For a medium sized dog (75 pounds) we are fortunate to still have her. She also sleeps most of the time but when I come home from work, she is always waiting at the door with tail wagging to greet me. A special treat that dogs give us is this incred...

Mary Beth, I think your post hit the nail on the head. We would not be here if our MC symptoms had been successfully treated by our GI doctor. In some cases that "fault' can be attributed to the doctor, for a number of reasons, but, maybe those of us who are here are the "difficult" o...

Thanks Tex for pointing out that there is a silver lining to this disease. I agree with your observations.

Your dedication to this board is awesome. You truly are rarer than hens teeth.

You might consider Boswellia as an alternative for pain relief. Tex has posted on his usage and I had good results while taking it for 8 weeks last year. (no head aches during that time frame) I agree with Mary Ann, most all my aches and pains, especially my knees, went away after a few months going...

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I don't post much but I keep up with most of the threads here. I have just taken my last Entocort dose. I started last April with 9 mg/day and have been tapering off for about 6 months. Of coarse, I have also been on my restrictive diet for almost 2 years. I ha...

Gloria, Whether you return to posting on this forum or not, I would like to express my gratitude to you and others on this board for all the help you extended to me during my journey to remission. Your advice regarding Entocort, and your dietary experiences were a key factor in my recovery. I suspec...

Thanks Polly, Words just can't adequately express my concern for Tex. He has been a guiding light for me and so many others on this board. My thoughts and prayers are with him.

Ant, MC remission is a bumpy road is it not???? Sorry I can't offer some useful advice for you. You seem to have a particularly difficult case. You just have to keep trying to eliminate foods and taking medications. Maybe Asacol will help you. It seems, if I remember correctly, that few have found i...

Ant, If memory serves, it was 400 mg 3 times per day. In another post a few days ago, Tex listed the links to 4 of my posts where I listed the dosage and the type of Boswellia. I have had excellent results from Entocort. I am on 9mg per week at present. I understand you have not been able to achieve...

Hi all, It's not as simple as one might expect. There is the gum, then the extract, finally the different acids used in the extract from the gum. At the time I did my trial with Boswellia, not a lot of detailed information was available. Or, I was unable to locate the information. The trials seem to...
