Your kids are adorable! Looks like you went the route I did and had them close together lol :) My oldest daughter and middle son are 18 months apart...I thought it was a good idea at the time but after the second was born I wondered what the heck I got myself into! My third is three years younger th...

Sorry to hear about your accident in the store, I know how embarrassing it is to have one :) I've been lucky and not had one in public but I've had quite a few at night, in bed, next to my hubby. Luckily he's a very understanding guy and is also a Paramedic so he's sees gross stuff all the time. It'...

So some of you have periods of no D?? I didn't know that could happen, I wonder what I'm doing wrong? I've had LC for 7 years now and not a single day has gone by without D multiple times a day. Is having periods of remission common? Is there anything besides drugs and diet that has helped stop the ...

Awww, what a cute picture! Glad you got the avatar thing working, I had to have Tex fix mine too :) I'm so sorry Camryn woke up during the colonoscopy! I really hate discussing it because I don't want you to be upset but I totally remember everything...I could even feel them taking the biopsies whil...

Upper Endoscopy Procedure Problems

I had Upper Endoscopy done for the first time yesterday and it went horribly. I'll explain in a minute but I wanted to know what others here have experienced. I had no idea what the procedure would be like except what I could find online...all I knew is the doc was going to put a scope down my throa...

It's funny you mentioned that about the hormones making MC better, I happen to be one of those rare women who had no relief during all 3 of my pregnancies. The onset of MC was about 7 months along in my first pregnancy about the time I went into premature labor...kind of a coincidence huh? Through o...

An!.other Triple Paste addict :) Love the stuff! You're lucky with the potty training thing, my middle kid just turned 5 and he was such a pain to potty train...he still will have an occasional accident but I couldn't imaging trying to potty train with D going on.

I haven't tried gluten free yet but I go in Thursday for endoscopy where they will take biopsies of my small intestine. The doc said that is the best way to know for certain if I have Ciliac's disease because the blood tests can come back negative even if you have it. Tex knows a lot about it and ha...

Really sorry to hear that about your daughter! I have 3 little one's of my own and wouldn't wish LC on my worst enemy let alone one of my kids. I need to mention that to my doc because she is having a really hard time believing my diagnosis because of my age at the time of the first diagnosis which ...

New Doctor!

So I had my first appointment with Dr. Friedman at the Brigham and Womens hospital in Boston. She's a specialist in LC and she really gave me hope! She went over my whole history and even got the slides from my last colonoscopy to look over herself. She said she wanted her own department to look at ...

Off to Ohio!

Now that I can get back on the computer I'm off on vacation :) I just wanted to say hi and let everyone know I'll be back in 2 weeks, we're visiting family in Ohio. The day after I get back here to NH I have my long awaited appointment in Boston with a specialist! She's at Brigham and Women's hospit...

My husband and I were just talking about that last night! I wondered if ferrets are native to the US and my husband said he thinks they are. That also explains why Jack acts like a cat a little bit. The way he play fights and chases things are similar to a cat.

Oh I had no idea they eat prairie dogs!! Poor things, I think prairie dogs are SO cute! I actually looked into getting one for a pet but prairie dogs are illegal to own privately in the US. You are right about ferrets diet. I started doing some research into their food and found out about the specia...

Ferrets and kids!

We decided to get a pet and my husband was set on a ferret. I didn't know much about them but the ones I held were pretty cute and so I conceded. Guess who got to take care of Jack the ferret?? Having Jack around is like having another toddler! My oldest is 6, the middle child just turned 5, and the...

I remember another show about a guy in Alaska who lived with the bears. He was a bit eccentric and didn't hang out around people much but eventually found a girlfriend who would go out with him to find bears. Eventually he and his girlfriend were killed by a bear, it was very sad but what do expect ...
