I keep almond flour, brown rice flour, cornflour and potato flour as staples in my kitchen.

I mainly make flatbreads from my flours. All my efforts at baking have ended in disaster and very heavy stodgy baked goods that could not be eaten.

I started taking three teaspoons of chia seeds in my cocoa drink to bolster my magnesium intake. I just stir the chia seeds in when I make the cocoa. It's an acquired taste, I only have it because I am determined to get better.

Fortunately, chia seeds don't seem to be an issue with me.

Much is written about Tumeric and its benefits so I have also taken a serious look at it for daily use. After coming off my NSAID in September 2015 I was prepared to try just about anything. I believe the secret to success with Tumeric is in the preparation before eating. Tumeric must be heated in s...

Magnesium Soak.......

I bought myself a few kilos of magnesium for my baths. On Saturday evening I had my first magnesium soak for twenty minutes. The instuctions suggests one or two cups of magnesium - I used two cups because we have a large double bath. On Sunday, after months of constipation, I finally managed a more ...

You go on the attack to grind my nutritionist into the ground without knowing the slightest thing about him and without knowing what he has done for me in the past. So nutritionist is the wrong title, but it was the nearest one I came up with, not knowing that it would cause such a vitriolic attack...

In the UK and Europe, not sure about other parts of the world, nutrionists are not registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as are Dietitians. Almost anyone can call themselves a nutrionist and many people do. The protection using a Dietition as opposed to a nutrionist means patien...

Hi Renee, I agree with Tex when he says six weeks isn't long in the healing process and that you should proceed adding food cautiously. The first fruit I added to my diet were the berries - blue berries, strawberries and raspberries. I added a very small quantity of one type at a time and just obser...

Gosh Tex..... I had no idea that magnesium depletion caused those symptoms, I have had leg cramps on and off over many years and put it down to not eating enough salt in the very hot weather. Profuse sweating has been a problem too, sometimes in the middle of winter I have to put the airconditioner ...

Laryngospasms at randim times......

For the past thirty years, the first time was after surgery, I had my first laryngospasm. I am not sure if these episodes are related to allergies but they very well make have some connection. Thirty years later I find they come on for different reasons: Pickled onions, gritty gluten free bread (wit...
