vitamin question for Wayne et al

Hi. I just noticed my Intergrative Therapeutics Active B-Complex has as an ingredient "Pantothenic Acid as calicum D-pantothenate." It has 100mg in two capsules. Do you know if this is the same thing as calcium? I ask because I'm trying to avoid calcium supplements in an effort to increase...

Hi again Vanessa. I just read through the article your suggested from Dr Dean. When she says: "you can begin with 5-10 drops a day and take it with food" does she mean drop it on food or drink a few drops in a small amount of water with a meal? About vitamin D, she says: "That means i...

Thanks so much Vanessa. Did you mean spray on the skin the ReMag or the ReMyte? I too am disgruntled with the medical community because they got me into this mess by putting me on a PPI for gastritis, which then gave me heartburn and chest pain. It seems the only thing in my GI's bag of tricks is in...

Wow Vanessa thanks for that info. Very encouraging. Do you think I should just start with 1 drop of ReMag in about 24 oz water? Do you think your GERD was caused by low mag? Did you ever go on a PPI for it? Did you ever get an endoscopy? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks again.

Vanessa what did your Gerd feel like? Mine is heartburn after meals but mainly left sided chest pain all day. I'm beginning to think it's more anxiety related than anything else at this point. How long did you have the burning stomach and GERD? Did you use ReMag alone to get to 700 mg? On my latest ...

Wayne, Gabes - another mag question

I read recently that magnesium supplementation can increase GERD by relaxing the lower esophageal sphincter, much as it relaxes other muscles. Any thoughts? Thanks very much.

Wayne, the only starch I eat is about 1/2 cup of potato, winter squash or rutabaga three times a day (with each meal), and maybe 1/2 banana a day. Plus I eat low starch veggies (brocolli, etc). Once in a blue moon I'll have a half cup white rice if my weight is getting too low. Do you think that's o...

Thanks Wayne. I was taking them because I was told by "health professionals" I need lipase to digest fat (based on a stool analysis) and amylase to prevent sibo, and that both supplements decrease GERD.

But the idea of taking less always appeals to me.

Thank you.

Do you agree with this article, which claims that digestive amylase supplements can increase blood sugar?

Thanks Wayne. This is reassuring that it doesn't imply that lipase can degrade the stomach lining.
My lab just said "serum lipase" so I guess that doesn't show what is measured.

Thank you!

1. So in other words, this article does NOT imply that lipase in digestive enzyme form degrades the stomach lining...correct? 2. One other question...would a serum lipase test measure my stomach or pancreatic lipase? Mine came back in normal range so does that mean I don't need lipase in enzyme form...

Thank you Wayne. I'm wondering if you can help me decode this article.

Does this one imply lipase can degrade the stomach lining?
