Budesonide
The first time I took it, my WD stopped after the first 72 hours of taking the first 3 capsules. However when I relapsed and was placed on it a second time, it took 4 weeks with the addition of a gluten free and diary free diet to get rid of the WD entirely. I've still got 3 weeks of tapering to go ...

HELP! Has anyone heard or had a Leap/MRT blood test?
Although I have been back on Budesonide with a GF and DF diets for 3 weeks, I am not responding as quickly as my first script of Budesonide w/o diet changes. (On my first go around, the Budesonide 9mg stopped the watery diarrhea within 72 hours.) Thus I contacted my GI regarding the Enterolab testin...

Help! Enterolab or Imunologist?
I've approached my Texas GI with a request to refer to Enterolab for allergens and was instead referred to an Immunologist for food allergy skin tests, blood tests of something called a "Leap/MRT.
Can anyone tell me which works or is a waste of time? Thanks in advance.

Thanks
It's overwhelming however I know I can get through this with a Lot of help from people like you! I had no idea when diagnosed with LC that I would have to learn a100% different way to eat. For over 45 years I have avoided what I laughingly called "Lunch room grub" as in mashed potatoes, li...

Help! Can I use a Vitamix Blender to blend raw vegetables?
Can I use a Vitamix to process and break down such favorite raw vegetables as spinach, cucumber, tomatoes, and cooked Brussels sprouts, cauliflower into a "green smoothie". In other words an I "process" my go-to foods (salad ingredients) into liquid form and drink them? Progress ...

I've also been taking Glucosamine chondroitin for the past 10 years. It helped up until a year ago when it seemed to stop. Although I continue to take it, my arthritis pain has increased in my knee and hip joints. I took Meloxicam which helped, however, I believe that this medication triggered my LC...

Hard liquor especially martinis
I see where wine is problematic. I have avoided red wine bc of sulfites for decades. However, what the verdict on an occasional vodka dirty martini with olives?

Arthritis Pain
After my initial diagnoses of LC, I researched the disease and found statements that NSAIDs and statins are "linked" to developing LC. Once I shared this with my internist, she advised my discontinuing the prescribed Meloxicam, Ibprofen, and Lipitor. Unfortunately, my arthritic knee and hi...
