Hello Marcia,
How long did you cook it for, might I ask? I am having a hard time getting mine to gel. I've been using chicken bone. Will try turkey to see if it makes a difference.

Thank you

I'll add myself to this list of intolerance for nightshade plants. Haven't attempted fresh tomatoes but I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the heads up

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. It pretty much is the same response we all get. Last week mine said "Food has nothing to do with it, Its a inflammation disease". Really? Last time I see that over-paid, under-educated close minded waste of my time. I'm using the info I find here and hop...

Gail, I feel your frustration and pain. I was diagnosed in 2013 and am just now attempting to deal with my MC through diet alone. The only foods I am able to tolerate are weak bone broth, rice (minimal), small banana, peanut butter (minimal), chicken, Gatorade and water. The only reason I'm drinking...

So happy for you. We all love bread. I'm looking for a location near me that carries the bread. I can't have potato starch so I'll have to check that. It's always exciting to fine something we can tolerate.

I thank everyone for their guidance and sharing your experiences. I cancelled the procedure and told the nurse that it would be out of my pocket and since I've already been diagnosed twice I think I'll put my hard earned money to use getting food tolerance testing done. She was pretty much speechles...

Gastro Doctor says today food has NOTHING to do with my MC

I finally broke down and went to see my last gastro doctor. Having a pretty severe flare up that isn't responding to food eliminations. He wants to do a Flexible Sigmoidoscopy to reaffirm I have MC, for the third time in four years. If confirmed again then steroids to bring remission. I told him tha...

Maybe less yeast or something that those little vampires crave? I'd call that one a blessing.

Welcome. Just wanted to say hello and welcome to the best and only MC information highway. Since most doctors are, yes, ignorant about our disease we rely on each others experiences and advise to accept the life altering changes that need to be made. I just recently, after being diagnosed 3 years ag...

Holly - you are right and I will start saving and research what my insurance will cover. I appreciate all of the input and advise. Erica - I'll be making that Cornish hen bone broth and attempt the minimal veggies. Brandy-I'm tightening up my food regime and finally accepting the limitations of my d...

Wow the tests are costly. I have a high deductible HSA plan and I have to pay out a lot. I'd love to have them done but I need to save up. I am calling my GI doc Monday I'm in a full flare up and its uncontrollable. I didn't make it to the bathroom today fast enough, at work, and had to cleanup as w...

I am terribly sorry that your going through a really rough time right now. I, too, have been on a two year run of the worst diarrhea I've ever experienced. Yesterday was a so so day and today I couldn't get to the bathroom in time at work and had an accident. My WORST nightmare. I came home, cried, ...
