PS
During my recovery I took lots of vitamins, supplements, magnesium, probiotics digestive enzymes, cider vinegar etc recommended by this forum. I am convinced if I had taken only prescription meds I would probably would still be sick. Thanks!

Success story, update, and a question
Thanks to all of you who helped me get over the main problems I had with collagenous colitis. At my low point I had become allergic to most of the trigger foods. For awhile I tried eliminating the triggers. I lost 33 pounds and remained intolerant of most foods. I got so I couldn't take Imodium. I h...

Thanks for the info!
Hi, Tex!
Yes, the chicken was 4 days in the refrigerator. We keep it at 38 degrees F or below, and I'm sure it was bacteriologically safe. I had no idea that histamine levels increased!
I'll have to freeze leftovers!
Thanks,
Bill

Hi, Gabes! So far the requirements of managing MC are keeping me focused on the need for new habits! The hardest part for me is I used to eat and drink everything I wanted, and that feels like a great loss. I AM hopeful that with enough self-discipline I can relax and eat more variety again. Thanks ...

Hi, and welcome!
I'm new here, too. I've learned a lot from this forum, but I have not applied all principles stringently. I am in my third week of budesonide. I resisted taking it for a couple months after diagnosis of collagenous MC. I decided to start the med when I saw improvement only when I consumed nothing bu...

Duck eggs
We have chickens and organic eggs now. A friend up the road has ducks because he is allergic to chicken egss. When he has extra eggs, he shares them with us. I may get some ducks, but neighbor warns me that ducklings are high maintenance until they are grown. I will probably go ahead and get some. T...

Thanks, Brandy, Diana, Martha, Jari, Martha E., Good to meet you! I am blessed that I can stay home with the girls. I try to be a good daddy, and because of that my wife cuts me a little slack for my lack of housekeeping skills. Working was easier than some days of parenting are, but was a lot less ...

Thanks, Tex!
I appreciate the quick response. I have taken magnesium supplements in the past, on my wife's advice. She is a veterinarian and therefore knows a lot. I am currently trying to avoid anything that might have a laxative effect. But I will take some magnesium today and see how it sits. I have had wd fo...

Newbie. I'm glad I found this site!
I've been reading posts for a couple of months and I decided to join last week. Thanks for being here. I'm a stay at home dad for two girls, 3 years and 16 months. I've had IBS ever since I can remember. Took amoxicillin last March and have had WD ever since. Colonoscopy w/ biopsies showed collageno...
