Thank you for the advice! So wonderful to know you all are out there willing to help. I am starting back up with my naturopath next week and I know we'll be doing some labs. She'll also have my history from a couple years ago, so am hoping to hone in on what is out of balance. She wanted me to test ...

Sleeplessness, restless legs, rapid heart beat

My D and C are so much better after changing my diet and starting on Budesonide. However, the last three nights I have not slept well at all. When I go to bed I'm back to having rapid heart beat and leg cramps, symptoms that have not been bothersome since I started on Cymbalta in February. I woke up...

My husband wanted to take me to dinner for my birthday - which you know is quite troublesome for our MC issues. Using Yelp I found a fish house in Portland that is mostly gluten free and dairy free! I wasn't brave enough to try their fish and chips - even though completely gluten free and fried in a...

I haven't had any side effects - except I quickly went from D to C - so I had to reduce down to 6mg and then to 3mg within just a couple weeks of starting Budesonide. I was also drastically changing my eating during that time and cutting out dairy, gluten and fried food.

Some success - two Norman days in a row

I'm cautiously optimistic at this point. I've had two decent days in a row with Normans and no C or D! I've been dairy free for a few months now and gluten free since joining this discussion board a couple weeks ago. Also, based on info here I've cut way back on my calcium intake and have significan...

Good luck Chemgirl! This thread has helped to explain some issues I've had with running races and getting flares. I did my first triathlon (a baby one - just 1/16th of an Ironman) last month and I really enjoyed it. I've learned over the last year that works for me is to not eat before an event if p...

Thanks all for the replies and information! I have quadrupled my magnesium intake, as I found after checking the bottle that I was only taking 1/2 of a 250mg dose each day, so now I'm up to 500mg, spaced at 250 in the morning and the evening. And I still need to do more research - it sounds like the...

Multiple Autoimmune Issues - My First Post :-)

I found this wonderful discussion board/community a week ago and it has given me the courage to add gluten-free to my current lactose-free diet. I've got a friend who has been following a Paleo diet for over three years who is helping me out with cookbooks and advice. My question is are there others...
