I've eaten iceburg lettuce many times without issue. I really think it was the cheese contamination since I haven't had dairy in weeks. Or it could have just been a perfect storm of sloppy handling. Regardless, I'm back to being much more careful. I also started and then stopped after 5 days some ga...

Today I ordered a burger wrapped in lettuce. I specified no dairy or gluten a few times but the burger came out wrapped in lettuce but with cheese. I didn't want to send it back so I just scraped off the cheese thinking I would be fine. BIG mistake! So, I am sitting here tonight humbled once again b...

Hi Gabes. "Progress not perfection" is a good motto and one that I have struggled with my entire life. When I do things...I'm in it 100% so moderation is a struggle and "perfection pending" really messes with my OCD. I'm working on it though. I just really like milk! I love hot c...

Thanks Tex! My mean score was 28 so I'm close to 30 but not quite there. That is great to know about the Almond milk. I purchased some Flaxmilk to see how that is. I've decided I'm cutting out all the 2+ for now except the rice. The 1+ I'm keeping for now although I will probably end up eliminating ...

Thank you Diana for the thoughtful response and ideas on what to eat! It really is overwhelming but you make it sound doable and edible. It is so comforting to be able to come to this forum here at the beginning and find people who KNOW and have succeeded. I haven't checked the recipe section! Being...

Seriously sad Enterolab results

So I got my results back yesterday and I have no idea what to eat! I've been reading through things but since everyone is different I thought I would post. Of course I reacted to Gluten, Dairy, and Soy which I have been off for about 6 weeks now and am doing so much better. Eggs though were super hi...

Gabes, Thank you for this post. I've been crying for two days straight because I don't know what to eat or what to take or what to do yet. Being newly diagnosed is overwhelming to say the least. And it is so lonely. No one in my circle has even heard of it. It's painful and embarrassing and truly is...

Lilja,
Thanks for the vitamin suggestions. I need to add those into my new diet regime. I'm glad they worked for you and am hoping for the same. Hope is a wonderful thing!

Sunny, that totally stinks! I hope you can find answers!

Thanks. I will continue my new diet and see my ophthalmologist at my annual visit. Hopefully I can get this thing under control. This disease is crazy weird.

Has anyone had eyesight issues?

I was recently diagnosed with LC and have noticed my eyesight getting worse. It's like I can't focus. Is this a symptom of the MC, a symptom of the Entocort, or just a coincidence? My eyesight hasn't changed in over 10 years so I find this unusual. Of course, with all the other things going on becau...
