Vanessa I have been on ReMag for @ 3 weeks and have slowly worked my way up to 1 3/4 tsp in a quart of water. I too have gerd and am on Prilosec. I have tried to wean myself off of Prilosec in the past taking another med that is not a SSRI. It did not help the reflux and after suffering for about 1...

update on my use of ReMag

It has been quite a long time since I last posted @ Remag. I have since purchased Dr. Carolyn Dean's Total Completement Program for Total Body Melt Down. In the beginning I put the ReMag in a spray bottle and used it in that form transdermally. I later switched to orally with a little Himalayan sea ...

nsaidcolitis I can feel your pain. I recently stopped taking Prilosec and was taking Pepsid instead since it is a H2 receptor.... It is not working for me. I have reflux after every meal and when trying to sleep. I am really thinking of taking Prilosec again. I don't know how much longer I can stand...

On my first day of trying the ReMag, I became nauseous that night. I also felt that salt taste in my nose and throat all day long. I am reluctant to try it again even with a dropper to measure it.

I started on ReMag to day, (very small amount) maybe 1/4 capfull in a pint of water. I am finding that it has a salty taste. (I didn't add any sea salt to my water- which you are advised to do) Has anyone else tasted this too.

Thanks Gabes for your quick reply
Now I can go about ordering some.
I was wondering about probiotics. I seem to recollect reading that you shouldn't take them until you are healed. Not sure, if I am remembering correctly.

Question?

Can I take vitamin D3 and Magnesium or do I have to wait until I am in remission? Since I read patients find that taking a significant daily dose of D3 (up to 10,000 IU) can help to reduce acid reflux problems, and I am weaning myself off PPI, I am anxious to start. BTW, I will start the elimination...

What about vitaman B12 supplementation? I read on these boards: Vitamin B-12 (the preferred form is the active form, known as methylcobalamin, and the preferred delivery is by sublingual lozenges, which can be dissolved under the tongue, so that the B-12 can be directly absorbed into the bloodstream...

Tex, No doctor has never mentioned the FDA warning about PPIs and magnesium deficiency to me. I was looking into purchasing magnesium glyconate. Perhaps in the liquid spray form, since I think I read that the oral form is not readily absorbed by MC sufferers. I don't know how much to start with- I w...

magnesium

Did anyone get there doctor's approval before starting on magnesium glyconate. I have been on proton pump inhibitor - Prilosec for years for GERD. I now have MC for several years. I had also been taking a lot of Motrin for knee pain before realizing that Prilosec and NSAID can lead to MC. Also a sta...
