Thanks so much for all of the input! I am on my way to the drugstore to try the desitin, I used it on my kids when they were babies! I have used the cortisone, this time it doesn't seem to be working. I so appreciate all of you and hope all are doing well today.

sore rear end!
Hi everyone, I won't bore you with the details of my latest flare up but it has been pretty awful these past few days. I have tried almost everything for the sore and raw backside and nothing helps for long. The frequent trips to the bathroom just keep it in this really painful state. Has anyone fou...

re:acupuncture
Hi Tex, Thanks for the quick response! I may try acupuncture for a while anyway. I was diagnosed with cc about 5 years ago. I took asacol for awhile and went into remission until one year ago. I was put back on asacol and it did nothing, my doc then had me try the pepto treatment which did nothing a...

Hi everyone, I have friends who are always trying to find ways to help me have a more normal life with this tiresome condition! One of them called me yesterday to report something she had seen on the internet regarding the benefits of acupuncture for chronic diarrhea. Has anyone heard of this? Also ...

Hi all, I just had to get into this discussion! I realize I am so lucky not to have to go to work everyday, I am retired. However, there are still problems just living a normal life! I made a dental appointment today and am a wreck wondering if I can sit there for an hour without an accident! Most o...

Hi and thanks for your responses. My first remission came about after about 3 months on Asacol. My dr. who is not very helpful, insists that diet has nothing to do with this. Why are so many of them like this!? Anyway, this go round the Asacol did nothing so he put me on pepto for about two months, ...

Hi all, My remission of about three years ended almost a year ago. I have had almost no days without watery D, etc, since. I have tried gluten free and lactose free but it didn't help much but maybe I wasn't strict enough with it. I have been down to about two or three bouts a day until this past we...
