Question about supplements

Hi Erica, I'm not sure if you will see this, but I was just wondering if you could share the supplements/brands you were taking for the B vitamins and biotin... I feel like I'm starting to have histamine reactions to everything I'm eating, and it's getting a bit scary. I think I'm going to try takin...

Wow, thanks everyone!

I am truly grateful for these beautiful responses! Marcia: thanks for sharing your experience. Yes, I am not so great at making decisions, so that is my biggest challenge right now :). Tex: I am blown away by how much you give to this community. It's great to hear that you are working on another boo...

I suspect that may have happened with me as well Sonja. I had a positive test for early Lyme, but didn't know of any tick bites and didn't have any Lyme symptoms. I also took the antibiotics, but not sure if I had too. Thankfully they don't seem to have obviously set me back...

Can you be in remission with ongoing stress in your life?

Hi everyone, this is kind of a personal one, and probably more existential than concrete, but I wanted to see if anyone had thoughts/experience in this area. I just finished Tex's book and definitely agree that stress is a major factor and was the trigger for my MC. My boyfriend/partner of the last ...

Thanks Tex! I'm glad to see that you are back up and at 'em! :-). Yes, I also found a lot of problems with this report. The study was a very small group to begin with, so not very conclusive in any case, and I also have a real problem with calling something that can cause 2 years of WD "benign&...

Hi, sorry to stray off topic, but I was reading the article posted at the top of this thread, and it says: "Even though no bacteriological investigations were performed and there is no clear evidence for an infectious aetiology of lymphocytic colitis, it is intriguing that all three patients tr...

Hi Debbie, I'm Debbie too :-). I was diagnosed a few months ago, so would certainly not call myself and expert on anything, but I've been drinking the coolaid (figuratively of course) of the internet gurus these days who are using the "food as medicine" approach to healing autoimmune disea...

Thanks for the update- good to know that the vitamin levels are doing well, and glad that you seem to have found your answer! Yay for feeling better! I hear you on the sleep patterns... I used to sleep like a champ. Then a few years ago my sleep went totally haywire. Lately it's been a bit better th...

Hi Laine, I know I'm late to this thread, but I came to it through a search about Cholestyramine, since I've been taking it for about a month and am thinking that it might be causing some dizziness. I was noticing in your first post that you mentioned taking quite a bit of it. I tend to be on the se...

Erica, congratulations on your new level of poo! ;-). I can't wait to be able to say that myself. I've had a few formed stools in the past month or so and it's pretty funny how excited I get when that happens... it's actually possible! I've been taking a pretty low dose (just 1.5g/day) of Cholestyra...

What's the deal with the gurgling anyway?

Hi folks, this whole gurgling guts thing is making me curious... does anyone have any insights on what causes it? Is it air in the tubes, or some sort of muscle activity? Might it be related to SIBO? Does everyone with MC have this symptom? Do you think that it's a sign that of specifically reacting...

Budesonide- THAT didn't go well!

I was diagnosed with LC about a month ago now, but started with diet changes at least six weeks before that. My GI doctor prescribed Budesonide (full dose- 9mg). I am always cautious about medications, since I tend to react pretty strongly to them, so it took me a little while to get around to tryin...
