Linus Pauling Institute - xanthohumol
Hi all, I've been following the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University for a few years and just saw their most recent newsletter that discusses the work they are doing on a hop-based extract called xanthohumol that appears to benefit the gut. This is the first micro nutrient or supplemen...

My feedback on using sucralfate
Hi all, Quick recap. I've had MC for about 4 years. I've had major heartburn for many years and was on Nexium and Omeprazole. Both of these are proton pump inhibitors and are very powerful. Combined with liberal use of NSAIDs and perhaps Lipitor, I damaged my own gut. I'm a male, age 63, in otherwis...

Suggested Enterolab tests?
Hi, I've been doing quite well since dropping milk and taking an antihistamine (fexofenadine). But today, new work day, perhaps I'm a bit stressed but have had a really bad day with gut pain and frequent D. Tex and others, can you please comment on which of the Enterolab tests you recommend? The one...

My anti-histamine and diet results
Hi Tex, Gabe and others, After joining this support group, buying the book and learning as much as I can, here are my very positive results: 1) I've consumed milk my entire life and now realize that a major problem with my gut involved drinking milk after being diagnosed with MC. The milk created lo...

Hi Gabes, Thanks for the reply. My antihistamine question assumes that once you have MC, it's not likely to heal and give you the same healthy colon we were born with. I don't know if this is an incorrect assumption or not. I would prefer if I could use an antihistamine daily for a week and then ta...

Antihistamine question - update on food
Hi Tex and others in the MC community, I've had some ups and downs with MC and now realize that diet and antihistamines can really help. I feel a bit foolish since after reading some comments in one of the forums regarding diet, I stopped milk and wow, I have so much less gas and discomfort. I real...

User name change
Hi Tex, Thank you so much for that, I've changed my user name and I'm good. I ordered your book this week and am looking forward to getting smarter about how to manage or minimize my MC pain. I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago with collagenous MC. When I look back on what started this, it seems that...

Changing user name
Hi,
New to the site and am trying to learn as much as possible about MC - collagenous version. first, how do i change my user name to maintain some privacy. Tried to PM Tex but apparently I need to post 4 more times after this to change it. User name is locked in the profile page.
thanks
Ken
