Re: Dental Implant

I have lost 2 dental implants in the last 3 years due to bone loss. Had them done over 10 years ago... and I am pushing 80 years old. Recently had a third implant problem and just had it cleaned out and yet another bone graft.. just like the other two. Hoping to save this one! Don't think the proble...

WOW! I posted my message years ago and so much has changed! Over the years I tried many things, Lunesta, Ambien, Restoril etc. Nothing worked as well as restoril but we moved three years ago to Oklahoma and the new family doctor would no longer prescribe it. What have I been using since.... relaxati...

There were times when I was tapering off entocort that I took lomotil when I wanted to be able to leave the house.. and then would go back to 3 a day (or two.. wherever i was that worked). Lomotil made me sleep a few hours later though.

I am almost 70 and was on entocort for about 6 years before i made it through tapering off... tried many times... went back to three a day many times and started over. I figured since I am not of child bearing age.. what the heck.. it was safer than prednisone. My doctor was the only one I could fin...

Sorry to hear entocort is not working for some. I stayed on a full dose for YEARS and the advantage was that it did not make me tired. Stress has worked the opposite for me... hubby had a blood pressure problem that landed him in the hospital and I went into remission for almost a year.. a year late...

He is still doing well. Getting up with assistance.. hard to get up when you can't use your hands to help you and you are holding a pillow on your chest. We applauded we he did his first pee...LOL Like we do for us when we have our first Norman or a dry phart:)

It helps that he has exercised his whole life, and eats like a monk.. high fiber, no fat, low carbs, very little sugar. He doesn't drink, smoke, drink coffee (or chase wild women either..LOL).

It really is a small world....

Hubby had a quadruple bypass today. He is doing great... better in fact, they tell me, than people way younger than 73! Ventilator is out and he is pretty much drugged up:) The small world part... I went out for a cigarette late in the day and as I was walking out of this smoke free building/campus....

Getting someone else to change their diet... is like getting most doctors to understand microscopic colitis.

Reminds me a saying my hubby is fond of.
Never try to teach a pig to sing.
It just frustrates you
and irritates the pig.

Pill fillers were a surprise for me too. I can remember in the early days of taking entocort.. having the capsule shoot into the toilet.. began to wonder if they would ever work. Lucky for me entocort did the trick for me. As I have said on other posts.. It took 6 years to wean off of entocort.. now...

Antibiotics have done me in with WD many times. I was lucky when I had to take multiple antibiotics this summer when I had an infected bite. Family doc was careful on prescribing the antibiotics.. sometimes two different ones at once.. not staying on any one combination for too long.
