Are all almond or cashew butters the same if the ingredients are just nuts and oil? I'm wondering if it matters that they are roasted, dry roasted, blanched and roasted, etc?

So interesting, Tex. I just reviewed my food log, and I think I am one of those people who benefit from Calcium supplement to suppress diarrhea. It seems that my improved frequency lines up well with when I started taking calcium. Could also be coincidence, I guess? I think I'll plan to continue wit...

Tex - I added the calcium supplement to help with bone health. I don't have any known issues, but it's one I took before MC and thought to add back since it doesn't usually cause D. No reason to worry about bone health, so I could take it out. Thoughts? Will also try just a few corn chips at a time ...

Thanks for the info Brandy! Will take your advice to add in quick, calorie-full bites throughout the day. I love nuts, but have been avoiding them until a little more healing happens. Any thoughts on when it's ok to add them back in? I'm guessing I should wait until consistency is a bit more under c...

Recovery expectations and "slip up" symptoms

Hello! I'm about 6 weeks gluten free and 3 weeks "other sensitivities" free (oat and rice). I'm starting to notice that the frequency of BM's is improving from >7 times each day to just 1 or 2. Yay... something to celebrate!! However, the consistency doesn't seem to be changing much. Are t...

Thank you both! Will keep my head down and go with these safe foods. Just curious... I'm putting on my patient hat, but after 7 years of this, I'm getting frustrated. In all of your experience, how long is the healing time once you have eliminated sensitivity foods and irritant foods? I know it's di...

I'm here on the gulf coast near Houston. It is SO SO SO much water. The impact of this hurricane in terms of flooding is devastating. Unfortunately, the rain continues to fall. Grateful for continued thoughts and prayers.

And Hook 'em, Tex... from a fellow UT engineering grad.

First time poster... Thanks for the help thus far!

Hello! First time poster here, and I am grateful to have found this board. I was diagnosed with CC back in 2015 and treated with budesonide. I respond well, but it always comes back. As you might expect, my Dr. isn't very helpful... His only dietary advice was FODMAP which resulted in me eating a to...
