I am 90%+++ THERE - I sort of can't believe it! What I did
Hi All, I was diagnosed with Microscopic Colitis in June 2017, after a couple of months of terrible, uncontrollable diarrhea, bloating, gas, stomach pain and awful gurgling - and several times not making it to the bathroom in time. It was and has been crippling. I feared travel and had to rely upon ...

Antibiotics - this winter's flu season
Hi All, Last year I had to take antibiotics for a serious bronchial infection. Of course, I speculate whether that contributed to the onset of MC. I'd like to know how you all deal with (or how you WILL deal with) any flu, bronchitis, etc., this winter, if NOT taking antiinflamatories or antibiotics...

Thank you, Gabes and Wayne
Wayne and Gabes, I appreciate both of you responding so caringly and thoroughly to my (frustrated) queries about the specificity of diet. It takes a minute to get your head, heart and soul wrapped around the true life shift one makes to mend this malady. I have a couple of clarifying questions: 1 - ...

Clarification
To be clear, in your "cutting it all out at once," what I am asking is: What exactly must I eat to be as clean as possible and achieve remission asap? Alternatively, at the start of your initial answer, if I'm understanding, you suggest: first eliminating the herbs. If not change, continue...

Well ...
Ugh ... I must admit, Wayne. Your reply is very difficult to take ... I'm already trying to wrap my soul around how this disease has thrown me psychologically sideways. ... I know that you've listed this in other places. Would you mind stating: Exactly what CAN be eaten in the elimination diet you r...

I was diagnosed in July and began a strict elimination diet 30 days ago. It's gotten to be torturous, quite frankly. 10 days ago, I felt better and a slightly firmer stool. Last 5 days, diarrhea and stomach pain again (thought NOT as harsh as when I first began this diet). I'm discouraged in that I'...

I am new to this -
Hi All - Microscopic colitis is my new diagnosis. The Bufosonide is doing nothing. I don't know where to start and am a food and wine writer !! - and ONLY eating lamb, rice and sweet potatoes makes me want to hang it up!! Where do I start? What should be my first step? I can tell that my (young) doc...

Wow, Jean. This one post alone has given me a tiny ray of hope. Frankly, just diagnosed and (now) reading over everyone's trials and tribulations on this site was making me depressed as heck. You managed to get your life not just back, but butter than it had ever been - lending credence to the thoug...
