Hi Tex
I agree the doc would have called you if it were something serious. Don't know anything about that kind of infection, but I hope it is over SOON! And yes, it's always something.
Best wishes, Susan

Gloria Perque makes a multi that has only beta-carotene (5,000 IU). It's called life guard. You can find it at perque.com. Pure encapsulations also makes a multi called Nutrient 950, which you can get without vitamin A. Also, without copper and iron. I dropped vitamin A a couple of years ago and tha...

thanks, Tex, but I'm still confused. I just bought an oil for moisturizing that contains palm oil--I had to look forever to find something without grapeseed, soy, sunflower, safflower, and almond oil, which I can't tolerate. So does this information that you've shared mean that the palm oil itself i...

Robin I know you will go over everything with your doc, and probably get lots of tests, but I will second the hormonal change/menopause probability. Menopause can work in very weird and mysterious ways. I was a full 15 years into it when I developed terrible hot flashes-- which more or less coincide...

Lesley i think the idea about acupuncture is a good one--I don't know if Medicare would cover it. Medicare does cover my visits and tests with an integrative medicine physician here--she just did a full stool study to evaluate what is happening in my intestines during this current bout of D. They te...

Lesley, Good luck with trying to communicate with your GI. It is just really, really discouraging to deal with doctors who don't listen, and even if they do listen, put down what you are saying. I wish you could get some response that makes you feel like someone is trying to help you and be your par...

When I was not reacting, I was able to eat lentil soup occasionally. I never took a chance on eating it regularly. I also tested black beans when I was not reacting, and they were definitely out--no D but a lot of discomfort and some bloat. Now that I've lost remission, I've decided no legumes at al...

Deb I have always had seasonal allergies, so the congestion is not new to me. Yes, sometimes my eyes can get runny. However, it has been somewhat worse, I think, since mc began 3 and a half years ago. However, I live in the land of mold and pollen and coal plant pollution and frequently stagnant air...

Gloria, I am so sorry you have to keep struggling so much with this. It's challenging enough when you have periods of relief. I haven't taken Benadryl yet, although my allergies are worsening (it's been unseasonably warm here and the grass is turning green) I spoke with my dr. about the mast cell is...

Robin I'm a Long Islander living now in North Carolina. Land is, relatively speaking, inexpensive here. My daughter volunteers teaching riding for the disabled as well-in Virginia. I spent much of my work life training and working with volunteers. I've never known more wonderful, special people. You...

Lesley, I've changed my travel habits a lot--used to go lots of places for work and visiting friends and family, but i think twice now. My DH and I have talked about renting an apt. in some exotic place we'd like to visit, and then cook for ourselves, and I think that might work eventually. I think ...
