Re: Broccoli Extract supplement

Hi John, Thanks. I also reacted to xanthan gum which is a binding agent in many things. I changed from almond milk to coconut milk and got sick. I found out xanthan gum was the culprit. I also used pepto in liquid form and was not getting better so thanks for pointing that out. In the future I will ...

Re: Broccoli Extract supplement

Thanks so much! I stopped the supplement 5 days ago and I haven’t had a flare so I am feeling very grateful. I learned that I really have to do some research before adding new supplements. Hope you are staying well.

Re: Broccoli Extract supplement

Thanks Tex. I now realize that gluten is a big trigger and I don’t plan on putting it in my body anymore. Not sure how long a flare up of this lasts but after 3 months of constant reactions I am hoping it will pass soon. I noticed I react to xanthan gum which is a binding agent for a lot of things b...

Re: Broccoli Extract supplement

Thanks John. I stopped the supplement last night and today was a lot better. I think it was a combination of eating gluten and taking that supplement. I am off both now so I am hoping to go into remission soon. The article you sent was very informative, and just know your help and this forum means a...

Broccoli Extract supplement

Good morning, I haven’t posted in awhile but after being in remission for 4 years I had a flare up 3 months ago and it just doesn’t seem to go back in remission. I was pretty diligent about avoiding gluten, dairy soy, spices etc. I did have some gluten once in awhile but I seemed to handle it. I am ...

Flu Shot

I have been in remission for a month and I am going for my yearly physical and wanted to know if I get a flu shot could it cause a flare up. I thought I read something on this topic but I can’t seem to find it. I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.

Beef Marrow Bone Broth

Hi, I received my results from Enterolab and I found out I am sensitive to a lot of foods. Mainly gluten and dairy but I had quite a few 1+ foods also. I can have beef so I bought some beef bone marrow bones and I wanted to see if I could get some guidance on how to cook them. I need to get some hea...

Enterolab Results

I just received my lab results and I was a little shocked. I am almost intolerant to everything and there isn’t much I can eat. I have been living on chicken broth and rice and some eggs and chicken. I was doing much better but I added a turkey burger (gluten free) to my diet and I got a flare the n...

Hi Erica,

Thanks again for all your advice. I will let you know how I make out with the Enterolab testing. In the meantime I will follow Gabe's stage plan 1 which is already helping.

Hi Erica, Thanks so much for taking the time to give me all these suggestions. I really appreciate it! I have cut out all gluten and dairy out except for an occasional egg but I have stopped eating that also. I was eating rice crackers that had soy in them but I will stop that. I will stop taking vi...

Hi Lisa,

Thanks so much for the information on Mesalamine. I am glad to hear it worked for you with little side effects. I will talk to the doctor and discuss any concerns I have with him.
I appreciate all your input on this.

Have a good day!

Hi Tommyboy, Thanks for your encouraging message. I was also on NSAIDS (Advil) every day for years with back pain and was told that could have started the LC. I don't take it anymore I take Tylenol if I am in pain. I am glad the Budesonide worked for you that wasn't my experience. I will look into t...
