Thank you for sharing! I lurk more than I post...You and others have helped me tremendously with getting my MC under control. I don’t know how many of you have juggled work, family and this illness. Gabes, I like what you wrote about your acceptance journey and “it being as good as it gets.”

Is Eating Crab Safe?

We are in crab season here in California and I am curious if it’s fairly safe to eat. I’m not in complete remission but I also am not currently in a flare. I’ve been controlling my LC with diet. I did find out on Christmas that I paid when I strayed! Fortunately, I am able to eat fish and prawns. I ...

Tex, Would it be beneficial to do the Enterolab testing if I’m not in a flare? I have been controlling my LC with diet and no drugs. I have been in remission sine early July.land want to continue on this path by avoiding trigger foods.

Thank you for your responses. I’m fortunate that I also have thick hair. Hopefully, it will stay that way!

I know that this is an old post, but yes, I’m waiting for biopsy results to see if I have Alopecia. I have read a couple of studies indicating that it is related to IBD. I’m concerned that systemic treatment like Kenalog injections or cyclosporine may exacerbate my MC. Im hoping that it can be treat...

I have swung over to constipation without taking any Pepto or Immodium or other meds. I’m not sure if it is part of MC or that with the flare going away the lack of fiber is causing it. I don’t want to introduce fiber in my diet as I am fearful of going back to the bid D! Is taking Miralax a good id...

Thanks Tex and Brandy. Your help is greatly appreciated! I'm back to the elimination diet and Gabe's Stage 1 plan. I'll probably get the Enterolabs test after I have some home improvement (roof & painting) completed. Fortunately, the flare is a mild one.

I wasn't so lucky after all. The remission lasted exactly one week and now the D has returned. I've kept a food diary and didn't eat anything different. I have been eating eggs, gluten and soy as they didn't trigger my symptoms during my week of remission and I hadn't yet cut them out of my diet dur...

Recently Diagnosed LC - Symptoms Subsided - Don't Know Why?

Hello, I was just diagnosed last Friday and am very thankful for this forum! I have read numerous threads and have gained much info, encouragement and insight. My WD started exactly on 4/22 and I initially thought that it was from food poisoning or using well water while camping, especially as my SO...
