Good luck to you Linda! I'm also hyper sensitive. You probably already know since you've been on the AIP diet that buckwheat is not AIP compliant. But, if you've been on the diet for many years then you could try introducing if you feel like that would be a good idea. Personally, I suspect that buck...

Yes, I did try buckwheat but I did not tolerate it well at all. I am currently following the Autoimmune Protocol as taught by Dr. Sarah Ballantyne, Angie Alt and Mickey Trescott and having a lot of success with it. So, Buckwheat is not allowed in the elimination phase of the diet. I have been in the...

Thank you tommyboywalker! That possibility of cross contamination always concerns me. I’ll check into those other brands. Thanks again, I really appreciate your response!

Ah! Thank you Tex!! This explains it very well. Good news is that I recently switched to a different vitamin supplement, just checked the label and the B12 is Methylcobalamin. Now, I'm reading up on methylation issues. I have an initial consultation appointment with a functional med doc coming up at...

High Serum B12 Levels

Hi All! I'm still on my long road to healing. I'm following the Autoimmune Protocol with some tweaks so that I am also following a low lectin diet. I feel like I've made some real progress the last two weeks. Happy about that. I recently had some blood work done that showed my serum B12 levels are h...

crfurer, I've been reading his Dr. Gundry's website and am ordering his book. I want to thank you again. I think you have just helped me a lot with the additional dietary changes I need to make. I'm very thankful that you took the time to comment on my thread so that I saw your experience. Thank you...

Hi Cfurer! Thank you so much for taking the time to chime in. I read your post from 7/28. Indeed, my progress did stall. Perhaps you've given me a good clue as to the reason. I had to have some oral surgery, and thought that could have been the reason for my setback, but I had also been making a see...

Buckwheat?

I'm wondering if members of this forum have buckwheat in their diet and/or if you have found that you tolerate it well or not? I'm still in the healing but would like to try to add some buckwheat. I think it should be well tolerated as it is not a grain, but just thought I would like to hear opinion...

Hi Karen, I thought I would add my "two cents". I haven't tried this flour, but I just looked it up out of curiosity. I personally cannot tolerate tapioca flour or xanathan gum. I personally don't do well with any of the gluten free flour mixes as they all seem to have a mix of ingredients...

Thanks Brandy! Yes, I'll try to be patient while I heal and remember that some symptoms are just part of the healing process. Yes, I agree, at age 30 I wouldn't have changed my diet either if I didn't have symptoms. My son doesn't have symptoms at this point - at least, not that he is aware of! So, ...
