Update and questions

I haven't been around here for awhile. I am a non-mc sufferer, but have been suffering from "something" for about a year now and it has been quite the discovery process. Despite all negative Enterolab results, I know that I have gluten problems and soy for sure. I am not sure about dairy b...

It really could be a yeast thing. I have been reading everything I can about candida and people who have it are very sensitive to alcohol because it feeds the yeast. There is also some connection between candida and gluten sensitivity so it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of MCers had candida and ther...

gluten/candida connection

I read this on the celiac board and thought it was extremely interesting. I wish the poster (Rachel--24) would have included the source of her quotes because I would like to read more about it. http://www.celiac.com/gluten-free/index.php?showtopic=29087 eta: I just noticed that she added the links i...

So far so good. I have had some increase in headaches and nausea but so far I haven't been hit too badly. I was really worried about the fatigue and so far I have been ok. And I have been feeling quite a bit better the last few days since I have been on the candida diet. I was really fatigued and do...

Tex, I liked your smilely response to my post. And that doctor was saying eat whatever I want in 3 weeks, so do the diet for 3 and take the med for the first 2. Since he gave me a refill for the diflucan I plan to take it for 4 weeks. I am not sure if I need to do it longer though. I really feel lik...

I went to an N.D. yesterday. He was ok to go along with the candida theory. He mostly attributed candida to heavy metal exposure. He mostly treats people for "adrenal fatigue" he said. He gave me an Rx for diflucan for 2 weeks with 1 refill. He also gave me a copy of an outdated diet plan ...

I'm a little late on this but I'm so sorry to hear about Molly. It's always so sad when our beloved pets leave us.

Kimberley, Sorry the goat's milk trial failed. It is always so disappointing when a food trial fails. I was just crying about that very thing last week. I felt like I kept ticking food after food off the list. Now I am on the candida diet so I really have limits. Hopefully that will just be te...

Hi Connie! I agree, this site is great. I know that we all have differences in our problems and what treatments work for us but this is a great support. It has been an amazing support to me as well when nobody else understands what I am going through. :pulsinghearts: I understand what you mean about...

I have an appointment next week to see a Naturopath. In the mean time I am going to start the candida diet just to see if it helps. If anyone out there has experience with this I'd love to hear your success stories. If my problem isn't candida I guess I'll just be back to square 1. Who would have ev...

[ Most people who are sensitive to soy, respond to removing it from the diet very quickly, often within a day or two, (unless, of course, they're reacting to something else, also). Tex[/quote] I am assuming this would be true of all legumes then? Also, what does the presence of mast cells indicate? ...

Tex, so would the reverse be true that if you tested negative for yeast you could assume that you did not have candida? My yeast result was 6 from enterolab.

I have never been tested for mast cells. At least I don't think I have. How is this testing done? The only GI doctors around here are complete idiots and I have no desire to go back. My regular doctor never knows anything when I go to him with my symptoms. I do have a referral for an allergy doctor ...
