Dear PP,

I decided not to fly to the UK this week. I still get dizzy spells, although hopefully that will resolve as time continues. My strength is returning day by day.

Best wishes, Ant

P.S. Venessa I am sure you will get your vitality back in time.

Thanks Venessa,

You are right, also the AMIODARONE has aspirin, which is a NSAID. The Prednisolone may be masking any MC issues stimulated by the other drugs. I will know that when I taper off it.

What is the cup you are holding up?

Best, Ant

On the 24th August I woke at 4pm with a pain in my top left shoulder. Gradually the pain spread across the top of my chest and ...

Dear Vanessa, I am lucky enough to have friends who bring me food in - hams, rice cakes etc. The hospital food is not good, especially with soya, egg, and canned soups! Dear Tex, Thanks for more info magnesium. If I had known more about that maybe I would have avoided the ventricular fibrillation! N...

Thank you  to new and old for your feedback. Wow that is interesting about Magnesium. (you may recall I have osteopenia) I will check if they checked for it. Adventis Hospital in Hong Kong is reputed to be the best around here for heart issues.

love Ant.

Back for an update

Dear Potty People, Its been a while since I posted and that has been because by keeping to my gf, df, nightshade f, legume f and egg f I have been, bar a few slip ups, in full remission. And as I never stop telling anyone who will listen that has been entirely due to this wonderful board. Less good ...

Dear Venessa and Terre, Thanks for your comments. "You can get your life back" is the hope and reality, even if it takes longer than expected. Of course the diet restriction and changed lifestyle will remain, but that is not so bad compared with MC before it is tamed. Dear Tex, Thanks for ...

Update - Now Seven Months in Remission!

Dear Tex and all Potty People, I last updated in August after being hospitalized with Vestibular Neuritis. A course of Prednisone to treated the Neuritis also seemed to have knocked my MC into remission (together with continued diet). Since then I have not had to take Entocort. In the last se...

Dear Polly, Just read the BAM report (I much prefer your acronym, BAD!)... very interesting, especially those with Lymphocytic Colitis having an even higher incidence (60%). But I got a bit lost in the science......I am wondering, if I detect pale or green stools is that an indication of BAM/BAD? It...

Dear Erica, For what it is worth (and we are all different) at the early stage (call that three years) I would not have been able to survive without the prop of budesonide. Personally I would say go ahead and use it (if it works) to enable you to live in the way you and your loved ones want. But use...

Great Poll! Really interesting that (to date) 68% get our 'life back' (however individually defined) in 2 or more years. And about 50% "get it back" in the 2 to 3 year bracket. I think that is important for newbies who might feel that if things do not improve significantly in the first two...

Hi Gabes, Thanks for your note and healing hugs! Hope things are ok with you. I will look out magnesium sprays in Hong Kong. I never knew they were important for nerves. If not, I will take you up on your kind offer. I hope to visit Australia soon (i.e. within the next 8 months), so maybe we could c...

Thanks Tex, Just read Bob's thread. Fascinating. Thanks for pointing it out. It seems he ended up on a pretty similar regime to me by 2012. His 'shock' treatment of Prednisone was obviously in a different sequence than mine. For Bob, it was to hit a really bad and long flare before going onto Entoco...
