I've found this thread very interesting. There are many people benefiting from gluten free diets that are not celiac. I have a friend who has cancer that's oncologist has him gluten free and I heard of a MS patient as well who is benefiting from the diet. Also the many non celiac people on this foru...

I'm glad that they say for six and up because a lot of times young children just can't produce enough anitbodies for the blood test and will show negative. This is where enterolab is more helpful but sadly still not accepted main stream. Glad to see this Tex!

Again, thank you everyone for your kind words. In case your wondering why the heck we named a Sheltie Todd, its all my daughter. We rescued him from a shelter when he was 7 for a playmate for our other Sheltie Malcolm. Todd had the coloring like a fox with dark spots on the tops of his ears. My daug...

Pat, I looked and I did use Karo so no high fructose corn syrup there. I used a recipe where you also use molasses so I still had a huge sugar and probably fructose. I was a pig and had a piece of both pumpkin (with cool whip that does contain the hfcs) and pecan. Just wanted to fit them both in.......

Rosie, I remember someone saying on celiac.com that they used ground flax seeds. Flax is fiber just like xantham and guar so I bet it does work but don't know if it would change flavor ect. Dee probably will have a good suggestion too!

i haven't posted for awhile, last week, we had to unexpectantly put our little sheltie (Todd) down. When we came home from work he wouldn't eat (was fine in the morning) and progressively got worse as the night wore on. We took him to an emergency pet place and they told us his spleen had ruptured a...

Another good point was brought up last night, that we ran out of ice (for cocktails and soda's) and we put a bag in the cooler that everyone including me was pulling from. I didn't think that most people had sugar cookies, and egg rolls (pre thanksgiving after noon snacks) in their hands as well. So...

My poor hubby accidentally glutened me. I woke up at 2 a.m. first with hot flashes and dizziness then the bathroom troubles. The big D was finally done around 10:00 a.m. He was cutting the turkey and kept wiping his hands on a towel that he didn't know was on top of the rising dinner rolls earlier. ...

I remember reading others doing a candida diet and during the die off period they feel generally worse. I also remember one lady mentioning taking grape seed extract. Another had great success with caprylic acid capsules. I hope something works for you soon!
