I don't know why causes it. At one point I was in the ER because my sodium and potassium was down, but I really don't know why it happens.

Nausea
Hi Jen, I don't remember, but after trying a few medications my GI prescribed, I finally found that Phenergan worked for me. For awhile I was taking it around the clock. It finally stopped, but it lasted a horrible six weeks!!! Zofran has worked for other people, but I preferred Phenergan. Good luck.

Excessive gas
This is my fifth day off of Budesonide after being on the steroid for five months. Since I have tapered off completely, I have excessive gas especially after dinner and throughout the night. Is this common for Lymphocytic Colitis? I didn't have it when I was on Budesonide. Do you recommend Gas X, Ph...

Sandoz
I googled Sandoz. It is not clorestrymine. It is a painkiller for arthritis. Are you sure that is the right name?

Tapering off of Budesonide
I am tapering off of Budesonide also which I started in January with 9 mg. I am now taking 3 mg every other day. I was never in remission on Budesonide. I have always had diarrhea, so I don't know why to expect when I get off totally next week. Anyone tapering, do I just stick to chicken and rice? W...

Nausea
Just curious -- I have been nauseous for the past month and a half both day and night. I am now taking Zofran sublingual. Is this typical of MC or is it not? My family worries that it is something more than the MC.

Eating
Actually, I have Tex's book right by me, and I use it for reference. I do hope the nutritionist had some good info, If not, I don't have to continue seeing her for any length of time. Yes, if your colleague knows someone in the metro Detroit area, please let me know. I live in Farmington Hills.

Thank you very much. I am actually having a virtual visit with a nutritionist today and am also looking into finding a therapist to work with coping strategies because I need them. Gluten-free
I have a question about being gluten free. I tested negative for celiac disease, but I read that most people are gluten-free anyway. What is the theory behind this? I have been eating gluten-free since being diagnosed, but I don't know why. Please explain.

Fear of eating -- losing weight
The problem is that I was diagnosed in January. I have been on Budesonide since then. I was better earlier on than I am now. I wasn't so fearful of eating. But, then the nausea set in, the ER for low sodium, potassium and dehydration. I don't even have that many flairs now -- I did this past week fo...
