I realize that I was assuming that ascorbic acid and citric acid elicit the same irritation response from inflamed MC tissue. Is that a fair assumption?
I think this confirms your earlier guess that my husband's constipation isn't the result of MC -- cause he can tolerate 1,000 mgs of Vit C ascorbic acid powder just fine.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate you. THANK YOU
Lydia
Tex, you're the best. Thank you so so much, as always! Yes, I will try to add more liquid, fruits, and veggies and take it from there. Re citric acid -- how interesting. If the MC is active, does consuming citric acid result in diarrhea? Or could it also result in constipation? I ask because I do sp...
Hi, Tex and everyone, Long time no see! My husband had had diarrhea daily for over a year back in 2020. He was skeletal. Then we found this website, figured out a diet, the diarrhea stopped and he started gaining weight. That was in the early fall of 2020. But now, just over a year later, he has dev...
I thought it was obvious, so I neglected to mention that husband cut out the basics like gluten, eggs, dairy, and all processed foods and beverages. He consumed no foods other than those listed above! That's it as far as diet goes. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I feel very grateful to Wayne and all those on this formum for the success that my husband has achieved following the advice here. Went from secretory explosive D to Normans and gained weight. No drugs. Just diet -- although he did start taking basic supplements after a number of weeks once the BMs ...
"He had put me on glutaloemine, which I was taking every night. About a teaspoon in any cool drink. I am also taking a probiotic - he actually has me on half of a pill every day. i have noticed improvement - my bowel movements are actually mostly formed for the first time in a long time."...
Anna -- I am a newbie, so asking this because I have the same question, not because I have any answers. But are you eating any other animal proteins aside from cod and salmon?
Thank you. It's all so difficult if one is just starting in Phase 1. Cause we could be eating the "wrong" food and not know for months. And then have to start all over at square one. If you have any pull with Dr. Fine, it would be amazing if he could include more foods in his antigen stool...
Hi, everyone, Tuna landed in the 2+ column for my husband on his Enterolab test. I would like if that is likely to mean that he will also react to other deep ocean fish like halibut, wild/farmed salmon, sea bass, etc. How about lighter-flesh fish like cod or sole? Basically -- what kinds of fish are...
