Re: Magnesium - Summary of posts with good info

Tex, thank you so much for replying. I have taken Calcium to prevent Osteoporosis. I would much prefer to get the calcium from foods, but that brings me back to the vegetable concern I have with MC. Fresh leafy greens are high in Calcium, however, how risky is eating fresh as opposed to thoroughly c...

Re: Magnesium - Summary of posts with good info

Happy Memorial Day and a big thank you to all who have served our country! It has been quite a while since I have posted anything. My MC subsided in late July which enabled me to make a one month vacation to see family in October. It was a scary trip trying to manage food, but other then one night w...

Re: Question about Quercetin and Scallops

Tex, Gabes, and Brandy, Thank you all so much! I agree Gabes and have been checking out the Quercetin brands, trying to determine the best one with the least amount of additives. Brandy, what brand have you had success with? I will be taking the same dosage as you do. So glad to get good feedback on...

Question about Quercetin and Scallops

I have two questions. First my doctor recommended that I take Quercetin 500mg twice a day when I go on vacation in October, along with Zinc and VD3, which I already take, to help protect against COVID. I have been vaccinated, second shot was in March, but I am not really on board for the booster at ...

Re: Suggested Eating Plan - Stage ONE

Tex, Thanks. Your reply reminded me of a question that I keep forgetting to ask. I was wondering if you, or anyone who got the COVID vaccine, experienced a flair up from it? I had been battling multiple flair ups since the end of March of 2020. In December of 2020 my Gastroenterologist put me on Bud...

Re: Suggested Eating Plan - Stage ONE

Tex, I just wanted to thank you for your reply to my 7/20 post. I have had a few family crisis's going on and lots of company. I so appreciate you explanation of adding in new foods. I was doing it all wrong. I did not realize that you needed to add them in small amounts for three days. I thought 24...

Re: Suggested Eating Plan - Stage ONE

Tex, Thanks for information. Sorry I am so late in responding, but we have had company and I am just recuperating! Got a little confused at the end of your email, but I think I get what you are saying. Glad to know that I may not be sensitive to the sweet potatoes. I will give them another try. I se...

Re: Suggested Eating Plan - Stage ONE

Thanks Gabes and Brandy! Gabes the reason I asked is that both grains, which are GF, are a good source of protein, which is something my body seems to crave. The Amaranth (sorry, spelled it wrong before) is my favorite. You can use it in breads, soups, and many other things, but my favorite way is a...

Re: Suggested Eating Plan - Stage ONE

Gabes, this is wonderful information! Thank you for referring me to this site and for all the work you put into it. I have been on the bland diet for about 4 days now and things have slowed down but still have WD. I was getting so discouraged but after reading how long it can take I feel better, alt...

Re: Attn newbies or anyone struggling....

Gabes, thanks so much for replying. I will follow your advice, but first I thought any vegetables other than potatoes was not a good idea since fiber was a no, no. I do peel the potatoes. So I guess my suggestion would be what vegetables are the safest? Also, I am not a great cook, so I don't know w...

Re: Attn newbies or anyone struggling....

So I am back. Sorry but questions keep popping up. I will try and make it short. I am trying to stay on a very bland diet. So far mainly meat, yellow potatoes, white rice, and potatoes chips when I feel light headed or am hungry, which seems to be often (the hungry part). Can I safely eat Unsweetene...

Re: Attn newbies or anyone struggling....

Erica,
Thanks for the explanation. You did a good job. I do have the running nose often when I eat. No real mucus build up, however. I will continue to monitor it and consider your suggestions if it continues or worsens.

Thanks so very much,
Cheryl
