Re: Going crazy!

Thanks Tex and John. Good idea to stop the rice and see what happens. Only problem is that that is one of my travel foods since potatoes and carrots don’t freeze well on their own. But ever moving forward… Tex, I was on Cholestyramine before the flare a year and half ago which landed me in the hospi...

Going crazy!

I was diagnosed with CC in Sept of 2021 by colonoscopy after having a couple years with intermittent WD episodes. I did the Entero Labs testing and all of my results were pretty high IgA 279, soy, dairy, eggs, chicken, tuna, white potato, white rice, walnuts, cashews, almonds, beef, pork. I have bee...

A quesrion about topicals

Hi all: It occurred to me the other day that I can use topical magnesium lotion and vitamin B transdermal patches with no repercussions but am not supposed to use shampoos etc. with tocopherol and other "allergens" on my verboten list. I cannot use magnesium glycinate pills as they will st...

Re: Safe foods with +2 Beef and +3 Chicken sensitivities

Just wanted to jump in here. I called Plainville Turkey company to ask about the ingredients in the rosemary extract they use in their ground turkey. They informed me that the oils used in their rosemary extract are sunflower and canola, not soy. I didn't give them an idea as to what I was looking f...

Re: How many of us have methylation issues?

Hi: Has anyone tried the other brands of methylation support supplements besides Thorne? Such as Pure or Neurobiogenesis. Thorne is pricey and I am looking for less pricey alternatives without sacrificing quality. Can't help it! I am a thrifty New Englander!

Re: A little advice would be very welcome please!

Thanks, Tex and Gabes for the response. Before having the sigmoidoscopy, I had Cat scan which showed inflammation in the gut, hence the sigmoidoscopy. This was not true before with the first diagnostic go-round. I will follow-up with my GI doc regarding the “changes”. BTW, he also said that he thoug...

Re: A little advice would be very welcome please!

Hi: I was diagnosed with MC in late 2021 and found this wonderful group that has helped me tremendously with diet and remission. I was doing very well until in June, 2022 when I got Covid (from husband) which wasn’t that bad until day 4 when the diarrhea started. My husband had the same symptoms and...

Are Cornish game hens the same as chicken

I reacted strongly to chicken on my Enterolab test. I would love to make some bone broth but I have eaten nothing but turkey and lamb for the last year and half and can’t stand the sight, smell, or taste of either one. Are Cornish Game Hens the same as chicken?

Re: Sandoz Cholestyramine

Hi Laine: since you seem to be the Cholestyramine expert, I have a question. Have you or anyone else out there in MCland had experience with the Adjanta Pharma brand? I was previously using Epic which I found pretty palatable. I changed locations and ended up through a prescription transfer with the...

Re: Flare Symptoms Changed

Count me in to the MC’ers that had a flare started by Covid infection. I was doing really well after 9 months on my restricted diet when Covid struck. My husband and I both got diarrhea on Day 4 but his resolved by Day 5 whereas mind has been going on since. I tried Budesonide which didn’t do much a...

Re: More research finding covid in the gut.

Hi. Long time reader, first time poster. I was diagnosed via colonoscopy in August 2021. I found this website shortly thereafter as there didn’t seem to be a quick response from my gastroenterologist as to what to do. I did the enterolab testing in October and my numbers were in the hundreds as I wa...

Dairy substitutes-coffee creamers

Hi: Found out about MC about 3 months ago after suffering for about a year. My doctor mentioned it might be the cause and moved up my colonoscopy which confirmed it. The first thing I did is eliminate dairy after discovering your website which has been difficult as I am a big cheese lover. However, ...
