Re: Two weeks on Pepto-Bismol

Gabes - Thanks for the reply - appreciate your time and sharing of your expertise (Tex too). Personal Products - I've been meaning to check my personal products - and your reply inspired me to do just that. Most of my products are single ingredient but the exception would be my makeup/sunscreens. Th...

Re: Two weeks on Pepto-Bismol

Tex - Thank you for your reply - it does help and gives me the needed encouragement I need and for that I am grateful. Regarding cross contamination - my husband was diagnosed years ago as "gluten sensitive". Since we cook and prepare all our food from scratch, it was easy to eliminate glu...

Two weeks on Pepto-Bismol

Brief recap: Diagnosed with CC MC in January 2022. Budesinide for eight weeks in February and March 2022 with success but regressed after stopping steroid. In June I discovered this forum and had Enterolab testing completed. My testing scores for gluten (14), dairy (15), egg whites (14), soy (8), 11...

Dietz and Watson Originals Organic Roasted Turkey Breast

The Dietz and Watson Originals Organic Roasted Turkey Breast ingredients are organic turkey breast, water, contains less than 2% of sea salt, organic vinegar. I contacted the company for ingredient verification and received the following response: The ingredients used in that product are the ones li...

Spice Sachets

I'd like to try using my homegrown spices (basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, etc) in a spice sachet to flavor meats/vegetables. These are not ground spices.

Does any one have any experience with using spice sachets? Or suggestions.

FYI: I'm still on a stage one diet.

Thank you!

Re: This is my story and journey (so far)

Tex - Thank you for your quick and informative reply. Also thanks for the newsletters. Yes, I am still keeping a spreadsheet of my intake and output (to include times) but I do not include "how I feel" because honestly, I almost always feel good. But going forward, I will document my sleep...

Re: This is my story and journey (so far)

Thought I would post an update to my journey. I had 32 days (until of #3 and #4 (Bristol Scale) stools before I started the digestive enzymes (which I stopped taking after 5 days on August 23) and attribute #7 WD for about 24 hours. Since that time I have mostly had #5 and #6 stools with an occasion...

Re: This is my story and journey (so far)

I may have found definitions on the forum (accidently) Flare-up - In the various discussions previously, flares are different things for different people, but best summary of all that the - a flare is ongoing symptoms for slightly extended duration ie longer than 48 hours. - where symptoms continue ...

Thank you!

Would you be able to provide definitions of remission and relapse?

Re: This is my story and journey (so far)

In the past, most of the supplements I have taken are purchased through a provider (MD, chiropractor) and most are the Orthomolecular brand. Given that inactive ingredients could be problematic, does anyone have a brand or two they would recommend for magnesium?

Thanks!

Re: This is my story and journey (so far)

I have stopped taking the two digestive enzymes and have not had any further issues with D. I have not taken any supplements (other than the recent 5 days of digestive enzymes) since receiving the Enterolab test results (14 July) showing malabsorbption issues. However, I am wondering about other sup...

Re: This is my story and journey (so far)

Thanks for the responses - confirmation helps - at least mentally! I have been beating myself up for listening/adhering to my doctor's recommendation when I was doing so well on the restricted diet. You are right Gabes, I always search for info on food before I add anything new. Unfortunately, I did...

Re: This is my story and journey (so far)

I had blood work completed and at my follow-up visit with my physician, he recommended eight new supplements - two of which are digestive enzymes. The plan was to integrate the supplements one at a time for five days to ensure no negative reaction. Six days ago, I began taking the first digestive en...

Re: This is my story and journey (so far)

That is welcome good news. In June (just a few weeks ago) we were in a rush - running late for an appointment. I grabbed a quart jar of tomato juice (thin juice off of tomatoes while making tomato sauce - has a lot of water in it). Anyway, it went right through me - it was an awful experience. I tho...

Re: This is my story and journey (so far)

Tex - Thank you for the clarification and yes, I admit it, I do tend to take things literally. Sorry about that! Also, thanks for your thoughts on the supplements - I tend to agree. I'm trying to figure out if I can return them. No information on the website about returns. Also, I just received the ...
