Re: Salmon and other fish

Thanks for your input Jessica! So many different allergies out there!

I guess I just have to experiment with my body and see how it responds to different foods which is a bit of a scary thought.

Re: B vitamins

Thanks Gabes! I checked it out and It does have some rice bran extract and enterolabs showed I reacted to rice but I guess since it does not have any of the big 4 allergens it should be ok? And the “vegetable glaze” is ok even though they don't say what vegetable? I don't want to be too paranoid but...

Re: B vitamins

Turns out finding a supplement of just thiamin/B1 that is also free of all enterolab allergens is proving elusive. Mostly it appears all B vitamins are lumped together into some B compex vitamin. I did find 1 ingredient organic moringa leaf powder which is high in thiamin but of course not as high d...

Re: Salmon and other fish

Thanks for the explanations. I guess I am confused a bit on how much the animals diet too has to do with tolerance to the meat. Versus just how similar the protein is to gluten. I read on this forum that some people react to turkey because it was fed soy or corn. I can find turkey and duck and corni...

Salmon and other fish

Hello, I have read on many posts here that if you test sensitive to tuna on Enterolabs, all fish is to be avoided, esp saltwater fish like salmon. Could you please explain the reasoning behind this? If it is wildcaught salmon, or sardines or cod, how would that be more allergenic than for example ve...

B vitamins

Good morning all, I have been feeling much better taking a Vit C supplement for the last week or so so I am now trying to address my low Vit B1 thiamin test result. B1 was 60 nmol (nl is 70-180) B6 was 73 nmol (nl is 20-125) B12 was 481 pg/mL (nl is 211-911) Would a Bcomplex supplement be recommende...

Re: Vitamin C deficiency

Thank you both for your replies. I did have my vitamin D tested last week as well and it was 91 (normal range 40-100) so looks like I am doing well with that. The only supplement I am taking is Vit D drops, 5000 IU, from based on the stage 1 suggestions from this board I also use topical magnesium l...

Re: Vitamin C deficiency

Thank you Sonja! I am looking at supplements and there are so many different kinds - buffered, liposomal etc that all claim to be gentle on the gut. Any preferred types of Vit C that dont cause D? Any good brands that are free of gluten, soy, dairy, eggs, corn and everything else enterolabs test for? Th...

Vitamin C deficiency

Good morning, Quick summary: started having WD 20+ times a day suddenly on May 10,2022. Colonoscopy in June showed LC. Had already been GF, DF, soy free for many years but went on stage 1 diet (rice, venison, lamb, banana) until August. Better but still WD once a week or so. Did enterolab - reacted ...

Re: Meat options and general diet questions

Thanks for clarifying! :) I have never had my rheumatoid factor checked but I may try adding potatoes a small amount to see how it goes. Have not had gluten/dairy for years so I don't think I am having withdrawal from those. I miss rice and potatoes because they were cheap and easy to cook though to...

Re: Meat options and general diet questions

I don’t have arthritis symptoms thankfully but I do have a positive rhesus blood factor - is that what you meant? How does that change how I react to potatoes? I understand improvement takes time, I just feel like I was making progress on my stage one diet version and have regressed the last couple ...

Re: Meat options and general diet questions

One more question I forgot- how exactly do you tell if you have histamine issue? Thank goodness I have not had itchy rashes/breakouts on my face since I cut out gluten and dairy strictly (though not being as obsessive about having my hubby have his own dishes etc) many years ago. I used to get a lot...

Re: Meat options and general diet questions
